Patrick, I'd say there's almost no way Boston selects Brewer. Nothing I've seen indicates Boston will take him; that mock just went that way because Bill Simmons loves Brewer.
The thing is that most people who boo Lee aren't doing it "just because he's an opponent." They're doing it because they think he somehow jilted the Brewers, and that thinking is just wacky.
I'd consider trading the sixth pick for Harris. He's definitely a lot better than Conley would be now, and he's also better than Mo Williams. That's actually an intriguing idea... Of course I have no idea if Dallas would do it.
I believe this was being discussed in a different Yo thread, but that was before it became "official." Not sure whether they'll want to lock it. I'm guessing (and hoping) that it will be Bush starting on Sunday and Vargas being skipped.
You can have the guy with the better demeanor, but the Brewers will take the pitcher with better results. Turnbow has impressive numbers this year (not that Villy doesn't).
Man, if any team gives up the talent equivalent of Corey Hart to obtain Mark Buehrle for three months... Well I don't know what I'll do. Be shocked, I guess.
If it's a keeper league I would value Gordon higher than Pence. If you have other studs at third then that could change things, but I'd generally want more than Pence.
Bush has been the second best starter over the last month... It makes no sense to skip him, although JohnBriggs' theory makes the most sense to me. Sounds like Yo's going to the pen.
Well that is a pretty big reason, but others that have been mentioned: He refuses to pitch deep into games, he has a high WHIP, he's been lucky and his track record is inferior to the other four starters (and also Villy and Yo).
Without thinking too much about who might still be available, I'd consider guys like Sumpter, Landry and Tucker with the second pick. I like guys in the second round who dominated in college but aren't considered first rounders for size or athleticism reasons.
