    Yes they will. The team that wins moves into first in the NL East. The team that loses drops back a game, but becomes the wildcard leader. Therefore if the Brewers win they are 5.5 back.

    Remember the game last year where Hernandez pitched like 8 shutout innings and then the bullpen (I want to say Rocky Biddle?) blew the game? This should be a great matchup. Sheets has been lights out lately.

    I know that people get ticked listening a lot, everyone does. It wasn't really directed at that one comment, but rather all the negativity I've seen that has been mostly unwarranted. The ups and downs everyone has on a day-to-day basis are ridiculous. The defense has been horrible, but people will blow so much out of proportion.

    Then why do you stay at this board? Honestly, I don't mean to be a jerk but the whining and complaining is really getting old. Everyone acts like this team causes them so much pain and suffering. If it irritates you so much, stop following the games.

    They said on MLB radio he is projected to move fairly quickly through the minor leagues... for whatever that's worth.

    I'm pretty sure it's nothing personal to Jeter. He is the posterboy of the Yankees, and most people around here hate the Yankees. He's a great player, but he gets way too much pub because he plays in New York. He's not even the best shortstop on his own team. Also, he's a prettyboy. But I dislike Sheffield and Giambi much more.

    I'm not convinced the Royals will go cheap. It would be great if they did, but I really don't see Gordon falling to 5. It's sounding more and more like it will be Maybin.

    I know it hasn't mattered much lately, but I kind of like this matchup. Vic has looked good lately. Good signs with Jenks and Carlos swinging the bat yesterday, hopefully they'll keep it going.

    It's just so disheartening. Once it got to 4-1 you just accept the game as over, because the offense has been so bad. I was so pumped up before the season, and I still know they can turn it around, but it's so hard to watch when they're playing this poorly. Another good outing wasted by Davis. Two hits in six innings... the same story as the last 5 games.

    No, I don't even think they would have had the double play from 2nd to first. Helms' momentum was going forward, and it was a soft grounder. That's exactly the situation where you throw home. Maybe they even turn the home to first double play.
