Its pretty sad knowing we can't afford to give up a run. Stearns has to do something about this offense and that should start by moving on from Haines. Hiura alone should get the hitting coach fired.

Taylor needs to play nearly every day while Yelich is out.

So no baserunners after the first 4 reached. Hopefully Woodruff throws a shutout because the Brewers may be done for the day.

At the very least they need a legitimate bat at either third, shortstop, and first base if not two to replace the utter lack of anything from these positions. Hopefully Shaw can be at least adequate but the last week or two hasn't been promising at all.

Bradley just has to be better especially for what we are paying him.

Really want to see him succeed being the great guy that he is but looks like his bat is going back into hibernation. He still plays a real nice third base but we need offense from that position and I'm not sure he will give us nearly enough.

I don't think they need to rent bats other than maybe 3rd. They need to get healthy and they need Hiura to get better. First base, shortstop, and possibly even another outfielder that can hit. I would love to see Hiura hit but I think he needs a new hitting coach and some time in the minors at the very least. It would be foolish to count on him this season.

Its amazing how often this team goes hitless over 4 or more innings in a row.

I can't believe we have over 50 million allocated to our outfield and only Yelich of the big money guys has any ability to hit.

Hard not to have a drop off from Burnes and Woodruff but Freddy is still pretty damn good. Would be nice if he could be more efficient but he is a very good pitcher.

The question is how many rental bats will we have to acquire and can we do it cheaply.

This team is going to need to rent at least two bats and a bullpen arm without giving up any of the few prospects they have in the system.

Maybe they should have waited till Urías showed something before trading Arcia.

I would have rather spent 5 million on Knebel than spending 25 million for 2 years of Bradley who can't hit. -
I am no fan of Robertson but if he can't start over Peterson he shouldn't be on the roster.

I think its time to start questioning how Stearns values position players because he sure seems to put little value on ability to hit. Its great that he values defense but how many glove first guys can you have in a lineup. This lineup is flat out embarrassing and not one that a supposed contender should be putting out there.

Totally agree with this take. If we lose a few games early on no big deal but the offense looking this bad yet again is a major problem.
