  1. Nobody’s fault but if this is the Yelich going forward it’s going to be impossible to overcome.
  2. So Gyorko has an OPS over 900 and he can’t get a shot to start against righties. Just makes no sense at all that Counsell goes straight platoon with Sogard and Peterson starting against every righty.
  3. Another 8 strikeouts through 4 innings so far.
  4. Probably has to do with the fact that he’s incompetent.
  5. Avi put up 2 WAR last year. If anything, rough metrics suggest he was slightly underpaid.... He had one very good season (2017) and a decent year last year. The rest of his career has been mostly below average. The Brewers should not be paying 10 million for a player that has been good two out of seven seasons.
  6. Never gonna happen. If Bauer does go year to year which I doubt will happen he will probably make 30 million next season which is way out of our budget.
  7. I am not disappointed in Garcia because I just don't think he is any good and certainly not worth 10 million per even on a short deal. Narvaez on the other hand was one of the best hitting catchers in baseball so his output so far is extremely disappointing.
  8. To be fair, I don’t think we’re that good either. Not Pittsburgh bad, but not good. It’s pretty obvious by now that we arent good at all.
  9. We shouldn’t be struggling so much with the worst team in baseball.
  10. I can’t believe how many hittable pitches Yelich has been swinging through all season.
  11. Those hitters were probably begging their GMs not to trade them to Milwaukee. I heard quite a few of them were hoping to catch part of the Haines magic.
  12. So all we did is dump 4.5 million off next years payroll by trading Phelps. We are truly in no mans land; not good enough to add and not bad enough to draft in the top 5. After last offseason and the nothing of a deadline this year I am off the Stearns bandwagon. We have arguably the worst lineup in baseball and a barren farm system. Better that he didn't trade Hader for scraps but we badly need to add some position player talent to this awful lineup. Its truly a shame that this organization seems to be backsliding. Other than the bullpen this team has no other strengths and nothing on the horizon in the system to help us in the near future.
  13. This team is completely in no mans land. Not good enough to make a run and not bad enough to land a top 5 draft pick. All we did is dump a salary and are no closer to improving arguably the worst lineup in baseball.
  14. Blah to this whole deadline. Unless something shocking occurs its one salary dump and nothing else.
  15. Its just hard to get excited about this organization right now. We are headed towards the Rays financially without the scouts and farm system to get away with it.
  16. I think this is a pure salary dump. Would rather have just paid him 4.5 million next season.
  17. I expect the Brewers to be another team that cuts payroll after the revenue hit that they have taken. Maybe we can dump Garcia and the 10 million owed to him next season but its doubtful that anyone would want him.
  18. The Clevinger deal makes me very pessimistic regarding Hader. Teams are probabaly offering quantity over quality and hopefully Stearns doesn't go in that direction. Looks like a boring deadline for this team in what has been a boring season.
  19. I would be absolutely shocked if we trade Hader today. I don't see Gore or Lux being part of any deals so we are just going to have to stand pat. The last thing I want to see is a deal like Cleveland got for Clevinger which was quantity over quality. Unless a star prospect is headed our way we should just wait till the offseason. Disappointing for sure that we will have to watch this team as is the rest of the season but we can't trade Hader for a miniscule return as that would set this franchise back years.
  20. Yuck Frazier of all the players on the Yankees and you pick Frazier. Why not shoot for the moon and demand Judge instead? Whats wrong with Frazier. His defense is awful but he can really hit. Andujar is the guy to say yuck about.
  21. Only way I'm doing a deal with the Yankees is if its for Frazier, Dominguez and a third piece like Garcia. No thanks on Andujar and Dominguez has to be in any trade for Hader.
  22. Hopefully the trade deadline is exciting but I have a feeling we won't do anything worthwhile.
