  1. We just have to hope for a split of this series which is quite disappointing but we really can't expect to win every game against Pittsburgh.
  2. Do you really think the Brewers offense is as good as Atlanta and just slightly worse than the NYM or Philadelphia because I think its substantially worse and propped up by facing Pittsburgh, Cincinatti, and the scrubs as often as we do. We should make the playoffs because of the awful division we are in when the Brewers and St Louis are in reality both very mediocre teams.
  3. At least we should win the run differential battle this weekend regardless of whether we win either today or tomorrow.
  4. I am fairly certain that we will trade for bullpen reinforcements as we seem to do each deadline. Lets hope these acquisitions fare better than Norris and Curtis did last season.
  5. When have we ever had a GM with little time left on their contract that was rumored to be headed elsewhere. If and I say if Stearns has decided to go back home to run the muts why would he be concerned about the long term future of the Brewers.
  6. We really don't know what the Brewers plan is until we know who is executing the plan. If Stearns has decided to leave after next season does he go all in knowing the mess left behind will be one for Arnold to deal with. I would feel a lot better knowing the make up of the front office over the next few years. My opinion is that Stearns has decided to wait it out in Milwaukee till his contractual obligation ends and go home to run the muts. If that is the case why would he be concerned about the long term future of this franchise. The last thing this team should do is keep everyone on board and let them all walk as free agents. Losing Hader, Burnes, and Woodruff for nothing would hurt this franchise for years. Becoming a bottom feeder like Baltimore and Pittsburgh have been for years is not the path I would like to see but it is where we are likely headed if we let all three star pitchers walk over the next two years without getting some great prospects in return.
  7. We clearly don't agree on anything so its time to stop interacting with each other altogether. I will take the first step by not posting in another game thread the rest of the season since you are so bothered by differing opinions.
  8. We are just a grand slam and two more hrs away from tying it up.
  9. Adames is a good player and probably our best hitter but if your best hitter is close to the Mendoza line the team has issues.
  10. I was in the game thread yesterday so you are wrong as usual.
  11. Its pretty much the same people win or lose but don't let the facts get in the way of your bitterness that it isn't sunshine and rainbows when the team plays poorly.
  12. Urias has not been good at all. He may be injured but he sure isn't helping lately.
  13. If you take away Davis and his extremely small sample size we don't have one other hitter in tonights lineup with an average over .250.
  14. Its pretty impressive how many walks Yelich gets when he barely hits for any power.
  15. At least they picked the right kind of game to use trash can Kelley.
  16. This team is only a contender due to playing in a division with three tanking teams and a very mediocre St Louis club. Even if they make the playoffs they are no threat with a lineup more akin to a rebuilding team than anything resembling a World Series winner.
  17. I remember when Counsell had way too quick of a hook. Now he lets these AAAA guys stay in wayyyyyyyy too long.
  18. Costanza has been fine but you can't give guys like this a long rope.
  19. The sooner the better. We have too many minor league pitchers on this staff right now.
  20. Yeah we have better pitching when healthy but we aren't and Peralta won't be back till August if we are lucky.
  21. You've left out the AL East teams and LA and SF. It would be nice to play Cincy and Pittsburgh every game but the schedule doesn't quite work that way.
