Every at bat is a battle with a team like this that can hit.
-
Two cheap hits to start against Burnes. Nothing is easy with this team.
-
Nimmo knows how to work an at bat
-
Hopefully 2 runs is enough for Burnes since its far from certain that we will score again.
-
Awful at bat from Caratini swinging to hit it 600 ft.
-
Wow we scored 2 runs.
-
Ok bases loaded one out after the last two batters were hit by pitch. Lets score some runs.
-
Cain has been so bad that the team had no choice but to bench him but McCutchen hasn't been much worse than most of the regulars so I fully expect Counsell to play him everyday unless he reaches similar levels of ineptness that Cain has shown. An analytically aware team like the Brewers should know that McCutchen hasn't hit righties in years and that Hiura has been pretty good against them but as most managers do Counsell is sticking with the veteran due to him being a star player years ago.
-
Stearns deserves far more of the blame for this offense because these players just aren't any good. As well as he has done with the drafting of pitchers he has been equally inept in turns of developing position player talent.
-
I like Adames but its not like he's the second coming of Robin Yount.
-
Ok time for a big hit.
-
That rally sure didn't last very long.
-
Only down 4
-
Cain just bought himself another month.
-
Football season can start anytime now.
-
Does that look like the lineup of a contending team where the highest batting average is .254.
-
This looks like a good spot to use Kelley and let him throw 100 pitches befofre dumping him.
-
Not even competitive against one of the worst teams in baseball.
-
Did Counsell sign McCutchen and trade for Renfroe as the answers to our awful offense and did he get the pitchers injured. Stearns is far more responsible for this mess than Counsell although he hasn't done a good job either.
-
Another productive at bat from Cain.
-
What other supposed contending teams would keep Cain on the roster and actually start him from time to time. Sorry that Stearns is out to lunch but he is.
-
Maybe our absentee GM should wake up and do something besides looking towards his next job.
-
At least we have real good assets to sell starting with Hader.
-
We've sure made Corbin look good after the first batter of the game.
-
The offense, pitching, and defense have all been terrible.
