  1. I think if this team blows this division in this fashion I just might have to walk away from the game altogether.
  2. Thats 100% an Attanassio decision. Proof? There were reports that Yelich initiated extension talks with the owner and its the type of thing this owner has done previously when giving Braun the second extension as well as his dealings with Suppan and Lohse. This contract extension would be totally out of character for Stearns but right in line with Attanassio and his thinking.
  3. If the Brewers were still fighting for post-season positioning I'm pretty certain they would be riding their studs more. No need to with the way things currently stand. Not sure why some here refuse to understand that I would clinch first and rest later, but I guess that’s just me. Especially when it’s a game that’s worth twice as much as a win over the Mets. With only 10 games left and a slumping offense, I would be concerned that it might not be that easy to flip a switch and pick up wins in the final week if it isn’t wrapped up before then. If the one player who has produced more offense than any other in the lineup this week is physically unable to play 4 days in a row without injuring himself again, the Brewers have another problem to worry about. I'm just amazed at how few people are taking this slump seriously. Clinch the division and then they can rest whoever they want but don't forget that we havent clinched.
  4. Stearns is far and away the most important person in this organization and we must do everything possible to keep him happy and interested in staying in Milwaukee long term.
  5. Unless the hitters have eyes in the back of their heads I would think it would be more of a distraction for pitchers.
  6. Not enjoying them yukking it up and laughing at us in their dugout.
  7. Oh, I want no part of the Cardinals. Losing to the Giants is way preferable to losing to the Cards, and I don't much like either of those teams. Still, that is a totally emotional response. I don't think this series is all that predictive. Cards won two close games and are now up 6-0 in a game where we started a guy who won't sniff the postseason. And we haven't thrown Hader or Williams. I don't like it. I don't want the Cards. But this is an 8-7 season series if the score holds tonight. That doesn't feel very predictive to me. Momentum often carries over into the offseason and you never want to be free falling heading into the playoffs.
  8. For me, if after one week from tonight the evening ends and the Brewers are entering their final four games still needing 2+ wins I’ll start to get slightly nervous. Come on you know you would get nervous before that. If we lose out this week and they win out all of us will be in panic mode.
  9. Peterson has had a nice season but he's been awful lately and needs to spend more time on the bench.
  10. Is Adames hurt again and if not why is he not in the lineup.
  11. Gustave reminds me of Jhan Marinez. This guy sucks.
  12. The Cardinals have about as many runs in the first two innings tonight as we have hits in the series.
  13. Its enough of this team has nothing to play for. We have clinched nothing besides the right to lose to the Dodgers in a wild card game if we lose out and these jerks from st louis keep winning.
  14. I wouldn't use Ashby or any of our useful bullpen arms. Let Gustave throw 100 pitches and let some position player pitch the rest. We may as well lose 25-0 and keep our good pitchers ready for tomorrow.
