  1. There really is no reason to panic. There are reasons to be frustrated, though. Logically you are correct but its not stopping me.
  2. Good thing Vogelbach hit that walk off grand slam against this team or the panic level would be real high.
  3. For the most part the offense has been good since we traded for Adames but they go through stretches where they look unbelievably bad.
  4. I fully admit to being wrong when I have criticized Stearns for moves that havent worked out. He is the best thing to ever happen to this franchise and it would be heartbreaking to lose him. After years of being a mostly downtrodden franchise it has been wonderful to finally be a real consistent contender and I hope ownership realizes that it must keep Stearns to ensure we remain the model franchise that he has made us.
  5. The question that needs to be asked is why Stearns is only signed through the 2022 season. Surely Attanasio would like to extend the best executive in team history beyond next season. You have to wonder if Stearns has turned down attempts at an extension. To me its really this simple. Attanasio has to be willing to make Stearns one of the top paid executives in the game even if that means taking that money from the player payroll. There is no one more important to this organization than David Stearns and while Arnold may be an excellent executive himself we cannot really afford to take the chance that we can continue to be a perennial contender without the man most responsible for this teams success. Hopefully Cohen sees Epstein with his championship pedigree as the guy he must hire at any and all cost and leaves Stearns to stay in Milwaukee. Either way Attanasio must do whatever it takes to keep Stearns in Milwaukee.
  6. The national dopes like Olney are starting rumors again linking David Stearns to the Mets. Is this something we have to worry about and is it true that his contract only runs through the 2022 season. Really hope that Attanasio extends Stearns and makes him one of the highest paid executives in the game.
  7. Was Bickford out of options or was he just flat out released. Never expected him to pitch this well but he was a more likely success story than others we have used.
  8. This is a much bigger loss than most would think when you consider how few threats we have from the right side.
  9. All the credit or blame for the Yelich contract solely belongs to Attanasio. The owner did this deal on his own and Stearns probably had little to no say as I doubt he would give a deal like this if Yelich was healthy at the time and no chance he was involved with the player coming off a serious knee injury.
  10. That signing was pure Mark A emotions based. There is no way that Stearns was the one that pushed that deal. Now Mark A is going to have to bite the bullet and keep a higher payroll to make up for his mistake.
  11. I'd bet a lot of money that we talked to the Twins today. A lot of money. We probably wanted Donaldson but not with that contract which makes complete sense.
  12. Willy Adames was a better acquisition than anyone we could have gotten this week. Stearns unlike a lot of these GMs has been working for months so he wouldn't have to scramble out of desperation at the last minute and give away our best prospects for rentals.
  13. Brewers made their deals over a few month period so they weren't desperate like some other teams. Stearns gets an A+ for the trades he's made so far. If the cost is low I would like another reliever but happy with the results regardless unless we do something crazy in the last few minutes.
  14. Kennedy would have been a good target for the Brewers but knowing how Dombrowski does business he probably overpaid by quite a bit.
  15. I'm fine if the Brewers don't do anything else but another reliever if they come cheap would be good.
  16. Nice acquisition picking up a much needed threat against left handed pitching. Not thrilled with the low OBP that Escobar brings but everything else is a plus.
  17. Why can't Cruz be at least as competent at first base as Hiura who never played the position before this season. I wouldn't want Cruz playing in the outfield but I would trust him enough at first base.
