  1. That was the weirdest score notification I have ever gotten.
  2. I think that those that do not like the kids defense are going to have to live with it.
  3. peavy is the only one i can think off off the top of my head Yes. Peavy 2007 Others were from 1989 1978 1976 Hurst?
  4. I'd guess pitching in that home park has something to do with his numbers being good. That park has a way of making mediocre look good.
  5. I'd be a little surprised if Grandal were in the lineup at all. He looks like he needs a day at this point. Probably Austin playing first. Move everyone up one spot until Perez. Slide Austin in at the 5 spot.
  6. I tend to agree that slipping in as the WC2 is the most likely scenario at this point. Having said that, we do have to consider that the dirty birds and baby bears have to play each other seven times which is a different dynamic than the ten game stretch you noted. I have a feeling this is going to be a very day-to-day analysis going forward.
  7. Meanwhile they get hits on soft infield grounders left and right.
  8. [sarcasm]Why wouldn't you have the pitcher bunt in that spot?[/sarcasm]
  9. They decided this was going to be a long shot when the fell flat earlier in the year against a string of teams they should have performed better against. It is what it is at this point. This won't be the part of the season where they blew it in my opinion.
  10. We are going to lose and we are going to lose on days the other guys win. I don't think dropping this game is particularly crushing. All that assuming we can't score a couple of runs in several innings.
  11. I don't know if you knew this, but he's kind of a punk........at least that's what I've heard.
  12. Vert frustrating offensive performance to watch tonight.
  13. Was thinking the same thing. So many checck/bad swings tonight.
  14. We are just missing meatballs right now.
  15. Burnes has a proven track record as a starter in the minors. Houser does not. There’s nothing that indicates this will work with him. Other than some people touting a “new” pitch that doesn’t seem very effective on his starts. That is an interesting take considering the results each has gotten at the MLB level as a starting pitcher.
