  1. I don't get Peralta. I don't know if I've ever seen a pitcher whose stuff varied so much outing to outing.
  2. Ok ok, enough. Please ignore. It's actually been a really great IGT up until his post.
  3. I would love your plan to acquire two pitchers better than all-star Brandon Woodruff. Well, I didn't say it was likely, just that I'd like it.
  4. Which I don't have a problem with so long as the rest of the rotation isnt Anderson, Gio and couple of other soft tossers. I'd like Woodruff, Davies and Houser as the bottom three.
  5. I get it. You and Dubon need cuddle time. I'm not convinced yet. That was in blue. I'm not a Dubon guy, in fact, I do not think he will ever amount to anything other than a journeyman utility guy... My bad.
  6. Shaw at second, Spangy at short tomorrow. Book it. Not sure if I want that in blue or not............
  7. Maybe it's time for cable? We have cable but that won't help me in Florida. Caugh up for MLB.TV.
  8. WORD! Would be nice to see him go on a tear for the last 12 games of the season. Can't help but be happy for the guy.
  9. I get it. You and Dubon need cuddle time. I'm not convinced yet.
  10. I'm nervous about this after seeing what Segura did after we gave up on him. And Villar.
  11. I was a big supporter and I do appreciate his enthusiasm but it is getting bad. I would have much preferred to move Arcia at the deadline and move forward with Dubon, both in production and cost savings moving forward. At least on a trial until the offseason. Though, I don't know if sellers would have been that interested in Arcia at the deadline. He's someone I assume would be easier to move in the offseason. If they can find someone that thinks he's a change of scenery candidate then go for it. They had to find some pitching. Dubon was the only real option. I'm glad it wasn't Grisham.

  13. I cringe but I think he is going to get some time at short.
  14. You mean the rookie in his sixth major league season? Please don't engage him. We are trying an experiment where everyone ignores him.
  15. Drew Pomeranz has a 163 ERA+ right now with the Brewers. 2.79/1.14/14.9 in 19.1 IP.
  16. Pretty decent mid-September acquisition. Obviously losing Yelich for the stretch run here hurts, but the rest of the team's key players are getting healthy at the right time. I imagine We'll see Hiura in the starting lineup soon as well. Obviously those guys aren't pitchers, but speaking moreso about the general health of the team. With this few games remaining a talent upgrade at any spot is significant. With Hiura back, that isn't a horrible lineup even with Yelich out.
  17. Every post of his you/we respond to gives him credibility he doesn't deserve. At this point I consider him nothing but a troll and why he hasn't gotten a vacation is beyond me. If you don't like using ignore than just ignore in practice. If people stop responding he becomes irrelevant.
  18. That's good news. It'll be interesting to see what he can give in terms of both effectiveness and stamina.
  19. You're right and I own my piece. I just put him on ignore and nothing he says going forward will get any notice from me.
  20. Multiple aces, best 40 man depth by far, Brewers finanaces, Nelson to start opening day...........
  21. Doesn’t matter. This is where the human being with common sense trumps the computer. Right? Human beings inject bias and prejudice even when trying not to. It can't be helped. You're the perfect example. You make wild and exaggerated proclamations based on your bias and prejudice. After a while you end up being wrong and walk back your exaggerated claim. You like to position yourself as "seeing" things others don't but the others are using a more statistically based argument and end up being correct more often then not over your "common sense" approach. Our senses lie to us a lot. We tend to see or hear what we want to see or hear. That is the whole reason statistics exist.
  22. Not with the way this team uses pitchers. Most games the starter doesn't go long enough to get credit for the win. That might be hyperbole but it sounds right.
  23. Yeah I'll freely admit that i was wrong on Woodruff. Out of the 3 rookies he was the one I thought would fail but he proved me wrong, he was outstanding before the injury. I barely mentioned him because I didn't think he was as important to the staff but if we do miss the playoffs his injury is probably the biggest reason since it spanned so much larger a time span than Yelich's did. We tend to forget it at this point but Knebel's injury was huge too. We would easily have 2 or 3 more wins on the season if he hadn't got hurt before it even started. Agreed. They just don't have the horses that they had last year whether that is due to injury, failure to acquire or regression. Makes me wonder how they are still hanging around at this point. The offense hasn't been THAT great. I guess we just have some pitchers getting hot at the right time ([sarcasm]probably due to excellent coaching[/sarcasm]). It's hard to wrap my head around.
