  1. Weird how their half-assed attempt to contend isn't leading to better attendance. If they were crappy I’d get it, but it’s opening week and they have made significant improvements in the off season. I think that their significant improvement is significantly over hyped.
  2. Or scream at people to get off your lawn.
  3. Nobody is a righty Hader......... More likely Nelson goes into the rotation and Peralta becomes a weapon out of the pen.
  4. Must be why they leave the ballpark so fast. It almost makes you wonder if any other talented starting pitcher has ever given up three home runs in a game.
  5. But when do you give guys like our trio a chance at being a starting pitcher? It’s not like they aren’t talented enough to be starters. I just don’t think you can keep them relieving for multiple seasons. Maybe you don't. Maybe you make dominant relievers out of all of them like they did with Josh Hader, shorten all your games to 5 innings and fill your rotation with the Chase Anderson, Gio Gonzalez, and Zach Davies types and live with the 5 IP and 2-3 run outings. I don't know if that's the answer or really what the answer is. I'm more just thinking out loud, or at least thinking in print. I think having good starters is always the right answer. Would you ever trade a Chapman for a Kershaw straight up? In the case of the Brewers this year it is gong to take some time to work through things but I think they made the right choice.
  6. It's his first start. Give me a break. Peralta should immediately be released if that is your standard.
  7. I don't know if rotation order makes a lot of a difference, but Peralta may just be keeping that #2 spot worm for Nelson come the end of April. End of April? And people think I’m overly optimistic. Ha [sarcasm]I don't think that's what people think of you at all......[/sarcasm]
  8. Woodruff ain't far behind if at all. A long way to go but perhaps the best one two punch ever developed internally for this organization with regard to starting pitching.
