  1. I'm enjoying it. This is stressful but more fun than being 50-83 right now I guess it's just me but I'm having a hard time watching this team collapse for the second year in a row. I don't find that even remotely fun.
  2. I love the optimism thread, if only as an escape from the sourness. I remember at some point there being a "Pessimism Thread". Perhaps that might be a chance for the Debbie Downers to still get the negative things off their chest, without dragging down every other thread. To be fair, I don't think this sort of statement is any more productive than most of the things that are being discussed. It can be, and often is, viewed as passive aggressive snark. I agree that things have gone too far and I certainly do not absolve myself of my role in that escalation but let's not pretend it doesn't rub both ways.
  3. Eh, we weren't supposed to be done with the rebuild anyway.
  4. But sometimes it is, like giving up go ahead runs in the top of the ninth when the team that is five ahead in the loss column loses to a really bad team. People are going to vent in the IGT's. You don't have to like it but you do have to deal with it and respect how others choose to be a fan.
  5. The point is why even bother being a fan and come post on a fan site if you are going to spout whining and negativity? Why even bother being a fan when everything is rainbows and unicorns with a complete failure to see the reality of a situation? You can't tell me this is making you feel warm and fuzzy right now.
  6. With St. Luis storming back, say hello to third place.
  7. It's a real shame that liveforoctober guy gave up on the team an hour ago after being a fan since the Cal Eldred days. Yeah, he's done. This being an optomist stuff is hard. I totally understand whey that dude lost his junk.
  8. I had one too many Alabama fireballs once, that was a rough morning after.
  9. Hey now, every team loses to bad teams. Heck, look at the Cubs losing to them bad Tigers tonight. At some point we are due some serious regression to the mean in those day games. Go Brewers!
  10. Santana = 59 Ks in 150 ABs in AAA He'll fit right in! Hey now, a K is the same as any other out. Santana was totally awesome last year. He'll be just fine.
  11. The Reds' booth is still trying to figure out how the Brewers only have 2 errors. It was all bad luck really.
  12. Jeffress and Josh and pray .... for the offense to put up an uncharacteristic 9 runs. Yup... not a recipe for success. Hey now debbie downer, turn that frown upside down! Those guys in the pen sure do try hard and heck, they're even good sometimes. They are just fine.
  13. I like that positive outlook from the booth. The future is bright.
  14. Aww shucks, just missed that one. Nice two out rally there.
  15. Hey now, it happens to every team. THey are just in a rut right now. Plenty of games left and I'm sure they'll turn it around as sure as I am the sun will come up tomorrow.
