  1. I would hope so, that's what it feels like when you cough it up.
  2. We have plenty of season left .... no reason we can’t win like 20 straight at some point. Lol. I just keep hearing the Monty Python black knight skit over and over gain.
  3. Look at Kratz take off like he thought that wasn't a pop up.
  4. Adding a catcher wasn't going to make the difference. Ramos over Kratz would be a significant difference. Kratz single handedly just cost us 3 runs, also. Kratz wasn't the only reason they scored three runs. A botched DP and a misplayed pop up, among other things, played a large role. Even a significant upgrade at catcher was not going to save this team.
  5. If I’m being honest, apathy has started to set in for me as well. I hope they turn things around, but I’m not expecting it. That's where I'm at. Unfortunately my oldest son chose going to DC and watching the Brewers paly a couple of games there as his father/son trip this summer. So I have that to look forward to.

  7. Similar to last year, and a few years before that. You just cant expect to trot out subpar players and expect above average results over the course of the entire season. That's that part that is hard to swallow for me. If they blow this again this year, this is exactly who they are now. The team that blows it every chance they get. Chokers. That is already the perception to some degree but it will solidify if it happens again.
  8. His secondary stats are all positively horrible. Yet the guy has been our best pitcher the past month. I agree, "falling apart" is a matter of when, not if.
  9. Counsell is whatever. He's fine. I don't agree with all his decisions, but it's that way no matter who the manager is. My only real complaint with him is how long he stuck with Knebel this year and was still married to the idea of a conventional closer, but for the most part I think he is able to think outside the box. Counsell has to wear at least part of the crappy hitting this year. Games like this, we have no chance. We have these games 3 days a week. It's incredibly frustrating. I think the crappy hitters have to wear the crappy hitting this year.
  10. I'm out. but to be fair I've been out for a bit. I'm not sure they even finish higher than third in the division.
  11. I'd be open to it, but only if the return for Shaw was quite significant. Yeah, should have qualified the return part but I was thinking starting pitching.
  12. What would be the general opinion if one were to suggest keeping Moustakas and trading Shaw. Asking for a friend.
  13. Way too small of a sample... He has never been given a real shot at the rotation. I'd rather throw him out there and see what we have then to say he sucks. Has more career innings than Peralta and a higher ERA, not to mention he’s 4 years older than Peralta
  14. It’s because Woodruff sucks Not as much as this take.
  15. Sometimes they're wrong. His performance this month would suggest this may be one of those times. I'm not disagreeing with you.
  16. I'm guessing it's because we failed to acquire better options in the off season and/or at the trade deadline. They could go with Woodruff who at least doesn't have control issues. They could have slotted Burnes right into the starting rotation where he had been his entire career rather than putting him in the pen where he's struggled. They could have skipped Freddy's starts with the off days this month. They had other options without watching this crap continue every 5 days. Apparently they don't believe that.
  17. I'm guessing it's because we failed to acquire better options in the off season and/or at the trade deadline.
