  1. Also done with Sogard... I keep going back to the transactions thread discussing 2b. I've always hated Brandon Phillips, but I'd give him 2b right now. DFA Sogard and Villar and bring up Taylor Williams. Let's get crazy and overreact.
  2. I should go back to not being able to listen to the radio...
  3. That makes a lot more sense. Thanks, all. Also, does Hader have any say as to which of the above four options he will be living out through the end of his arbitration?? "But coach, I'm really good at throwing baseballs." -Hader "I know, that's why you're at second base. You can throw from there. We're smarter than you." -Management
  4. I'm having a hard time hearing the radio... What just happened before Carrot tini's strikeout? Didn't he pop out to Cain???
  5. For all we know, Domingo could pinch hit for Thames in the 5th or 6th if a lefty comes in from the bullpen. Then Braun would move to first and Domingo moves to the outfield. true, but just the other night they let Thames face a lefty reliever in the 8th inning. Looks like when he is the starter CC will let him finish the game. I assume Santana will play somehow tonight, but obviously with a diminished impact. As another argument against, we could also have competent 2b play or better pitching and have Aguilar pinch hit.
  6. Outside of an injury, I don’t see this balancing out. I don’t like it. Blow me up for this dumb idea... Would it better to drop Shomingo down to the Sky Sox to get him more at bats? Is his decreased playing time going to negatively affect him, or others? I don’t like that idea, as it forces Braun to play more consistently, I like his days off to keep him fresh. It hurts our bench. Will a drop to AAA help the progression of Shomingo and possibly help his trade value, as he’ll have full time stats? During the off season, I thought it would work out, but I don’t like any of this. We either have an above average starter, who’s young and is great trade bait for us sitting, or we sort of hope for an injury, or we send him to AAA. I keep telling myself to trust the process, and that it’ll all work out.
  7. I’m looking forward to the day he doesn’t don a Brewers uniform. I still, however, cheer for him because I like the brewers winning more than I dislike Braun. I don’t hold him to higher standards than anyone else. If someone in my life did something as egregious as his lying, I’d be done with that person as well.
  8. Buehler? Ya, that guy. I should start using blue more often. Before it’s mentioned, I understand he’s not a throw in.
  9. Took a walk already earlier in the game. Doubtful Braun ever gets pinch hit for unless he’s injured. I was sort of getting at that idea... I just looked up his splits. He pretty much didn’t have a split. Ops+ of 113 vs lefties and righties last year.
  10. He already hit I missed that. I’m working and listening to the radio.
  11. Will we see Thames pinch hit for Braun? Yates is their setup, correct?
  12. Heck yes. Also, nice play by Arcia. I just saw the highlight. Oooweeee!
  13. Michael? Darn, you caught it first. I caught it once, but didn’t see it when autocorrect changed it to Keaton a second time. Thanks, AC. How long to I have to have my phone for it to know I’m not typing shot?? Is a reference to a swear word allowed?? (Kidding, mods)
  14. According to Brewers PD, Keston had two triples and a homer tonight. Professional hitting ^^
  15. Do we know his price tag yet?
  16. Because Tampa Bay isn't fielding a legitimate team this year and is being cheap. They've got Sergio Romo in there as their setup, that's why.
  17. Wut. I'll be looking forward to see the deal. He's still got some arb time left, from what I am reading. I like this a lot. He keeps the ball on the ground and is "lethal" against lefties.
  18. Win-Loss Record: 84-76 Playoffs (Yes, No): N Highest Playoff Level Achieved: All Star Game Representative(s):Yelich Offensive Player of the Year: Yelich Pitcher of the Year: Anderson Most Surprising Player: Tristan Archer Most Disappointing Player: Arcia, due to struggles at the plate
  19. I’d argue against our idea of what he’s worth in this market, especially comparing him to Swarzek’s contract. Yes, Holland is the better pitcher. Is Cain that much better than moose to get such a huge contract, comparatively? This off season has some crazy deals. I agree, however, that he’ll probably wait out for some injuries because someone will eventually pay a decent contract. I can always hope for a $6M one year deal, even though I don’t think it’s going to happen. If there is one position who’s been getting paid, as discussed before, is RPing.
  20. This is why I brought this up. There have been so many deals where players didn’t get anything close to what they wanted or their peers received. I don’t want a $50m reliever. If no one is going to pay Holland $50m over a few, can we swoop in and offer him a tiny contract?
  21. For some reason, I still follow Heyman on twitter. He has been up in arms about Fa’s not getting the deals of the past and as soon as they used to happen. He’s also been trying to drum up interest by doing just this, team A should sign FA B. I take this alleged interest with a grain of salt, the guy is advocating for the players instead of reporting.
