  1. Chase is done for the day. Not a good outing and hopefully the Crew get a good inning against their nemesis.
  2. Sometimes mediocre pitchers do well against certain teams. It looks like Bailey does well against the Brewers. He has a huge contract and if I were a Reds fan I would be happy he is good against anyone this year. That said, get going Crew!
  3. Another series win and the pitching looks very good right now. The Zimmerman homer broke up the shutout but a win is a win. Cubs lost so all is good on a Sunday afternoon in September.
  4. Great win for the Crew. Washington is a good team even without Harper. Santana is hot right now. As long as there is a hot hitter and good pitching there is a very good chance for a win. Now on to Cincinnatti for more of the same.
  5. Garza needs to stay out of the rotation. What is CC thinking!
  6. http://m.brewers.mlb.com/roster/transactions/2017/06 Didn't realize that was announced. I guess she didn't make it through the surgery. Sad. That's not true, thankfully. It may be a tough road for her and family but she's still with us. Bereavement leave for MLB does not necessarily imply death. Thanks for the clarification.
  7. (*Sigh*) http://m.brewers.mlb.com/roster/transactions/2017/06 Didn't realize that was announced. I guess she didn't make it through the surgery. Sad.
  8. HIPAA, specifically the Privacy Rule. Along those lines, I don't recall anyone, much less pro athletes, being required to disclose details on any medical conditions regarding them or their family. My best friends' wife was pregnant with twins. You know the outcome. Shaw did go home, twice - from June 5-7 (paternity) and then again from June 9-13 (bereavement). Travis didn't take bereavement leave. His daughter had open heart surgery. As far as we know she is doing well.
  9. Finally!
  10. Corey and his curveball had better get the job done. Close game thanks to taking out Hader too soon.
  11. Thames was so hot during that early season drive. He was a superstar. Today he strikes out with men on base and has come down to earth. Anyway the Crew now lead 3-2 thanks to Sogard.
  12. I thought the early success was fun. It gave us some interesting games and hope for the playoffs. Right now bad fielding from the Cards and Santana scores. Let the Cards get some of that bad fielding today. It's their turn!
  13. Garza is not significant in any way. Releasing him is the only thing to do at this point. Bad outing again last night. Nobody will want him. Eat the rest of the contract and next year get someone else to be a starter. Woodruff or Hader would be my choice.
  14. DFA both Garza and Torres definitely. Wang, Jungman, etc. would be better than those two.
  15. Travis not in the lineup. Neither is Pina. Both are tough players who wanted to stay in there but CC needs to sit them out and they need the rest and to heal up. Hope Anderson has a good game today. Unlike Garza who walked too many Cards, played crappy defense and made it difficult to watch the game yesterday. He needs to go and I am sick of seeing him in the starting rotation. Woodruff, Hader, anyone but Garza.
  16. That yellow reminded me of the Packers' uniform. Good Wisconsin color.
