  1. Thanks for the mentions guys, appreciate it.
  2. Alou was trying to get an interference call. However, replays seemed to show that Alou was not very close, and that if Bartman doesn't touch it, one of several others do. Why these facts were ignored is beyond me.
  3. I guess the Brewers are now the 2nd worst organization.
  4. Almost everyone agrees the parents will not be charged with anything. The law, apparently, does not concern itself with children's health.
  5. Well, you can, but obviously you'd have to have an interleague series all the time, not to mention no one wants to change.
  6. And my wife complains a 12 pack of Pepsi is $2.75 rather than $2.50...
  7. I was told our old one needed a new belt, but since it was 20+ years old, a new one would be a better investment. So, we just moved.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  8. JJ, never heard of this. Thanks, though I doubt mine has it.
  9. One game series are only allowed at the beginning of the season, or obviously in case of makeup games. It's usually done to get everyone's Opening Day done in the first week of the season.
  10. Sometimes the umps will start the game right at 1 instead of 1:07 or whatever, and "shorten" the ad breaks. Other than a hurricane on the way with a Marlins sized gate, they don't move games ahead a few hours.
  11. I just scheduled appointments for this morning. Even better is one of them resulted in a large sale that will really help the client...if it makes it through various hurdles.
  12. Jeffress' control issues will hopefully go away...DLR'a have not as of yet...though he is far from done. Lefties that can throw 90+ get oodles of chances.
  13. This may have got lost over the weekend, so if any at work folks have anything to add, feel free. They are going to give me what they call a "friendly" trade-in offer due to the problems, before I tell them to put it back together and I'll add oil as needed.
  14. With Mark a pouring $ into Miller Park, I'm shocked he has not added AC. They do have an "air exchange" fan that takes the air out, but it's effectiveness seems limited.
  15. After the Twins had success, several stations in Iowa and WI added them, as one in Eau Claire did. I do not believe any radio restrictions exist.
  16. Never seem a store brand of Wheaties, but never been to a Hy-vee either. I used to enjoy King Vitamin, but haven't seen it in years.
  17. Briggs is correct, many top players in college never play pro ball, because they lack speed and overall athletic ability. If I were Mark A, one of the first things I'd do is try and add a rookie or short A team and stock it almost exclusively with non-drafted college seniors and pay them $5K each to sign. For about $125K (that's like a 5th round pick, I think) and whatever it costs to run a team for 3 months, you'd get 3-5 guys to move up to West Virginia each year. For the most part, you'd probably get a soft-tossing pitcher and a RH bat that can hit but not run much that made it to the bigs every once in a while.
  18. I would guess Roberts or Randy Winn might well be picked up by the Crew in late July.
  19. No it doesn't MS, in fact, I do have a sheet of paper that says 1/1/08*...the * is the thing that says "in-service date", then it was put down as 1/1/2008 because the dealer left the date of purchase blank. Doesn't matter, it's the first of the two.
  20. In this day and age, I'd go with Jimmy's basement transmitter if he paid $1 more than TMJ. For me, 620 breaks up soon outside of Madison. With XM and the like, I'm not concerned about a few households in the UP or northern IL.
  21. Casey, to be honest, a new car is something I want to avoid, I just need my current vehicle to survive in a mostly 45 mile radius of home. They did mention trading it in, so I think they would be plenty fair.
  22. I did see wear marks, though I could not tell you if they are real or made by a pen. Considering they assumed the work would be paid for and are waiving 5+ hours of labor, I see no reason to doubt them. They are also footing the bill for my rental, which I will have a week or more, by the time this is all said and done. Teatoe, hearing what you've heard, how long do you think I can run this car by simply adding oil every 500 miles?
  23. Why is there no generic Wheaties? I mean, Wheat Flakes? This has bothered me for years and I've never got even a guess. I like almost all cereals, thoguh if I had to pick a single one for my last bowl, I'd probably go with Rice Chex. And i love graham crackers and milk. My son never eats milk with cereal. He can't believe anyone does.
  24. It is a 2002 Saturn SL1. They do not know why it is using oil, except that the wear marks in the engine are horrific. And, with the labor, it's $2K at least. Without getting too specific, the warranty company is saying the 6 year warranty is from the time the car was used as a demo...9 months before we bought it. Why we would pay for a 72 month warranty and get 63 months is a question I asked, and so did the dealer, and we were both blown off. Barring a successful threat, we're out of luck. Also, there would seem to me to be a bit of an ethical problem with taking the car to another dealer and not disclosing this issue. Is there something special about the Lucas additive, by the way? Add this to the IRS issue hanging over our heads (though we are sure we do not owe the amount they say, the penalties and interest alone are $4K), it's been a rather negative week or two. That said, our son is healthy, and I married up.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  25. The indy leagues are good baseball, but most are about the A ball level. AA and AAA vets often do very well because of this. A few players have come back and made it to the bigs, but very few have been anything but role players.
