  1. RD, I'd call a hardware store, if they don't, they'd be able to tell you who does.
  2. I've been curious if they go by last name...are the ones left have S & T names?
  3. Heck, why did they sign Rowand? That's the true mystery, as before, they were just trying to win with Bonds.
  4. I might say once every 10 days, especially in the hot months of the year. That'd be about 12 starts a month for the reserves, or 6 each for Dillon and Counsell...that seems about right.
  5. We've only gone through 2 tanks, one worked ok and the current one works dandy. I would exchange to be honest, it's quicker and easier. If it sucks, use it once and take it back, I'm sure they'd just give you another one (and give the one your returned to the next guy:).
  6. Thanks ollie and others, I will let you know if I need something else. From what I understand, I might be able to do the 1040X and the D myself.
  7. I can't believe you did not know that! Pain can trigger a lot of bad reactions; shock, throwing up, passing out, etc. I still remember quite plainly how my wife threw up while in labor. I could only think I would rather be anywhere else in the world, even moreso than I had before. Actually, however, it is very common, not sure if it's the pain or just a complication. They never show that in the sitcoms.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  8. One game a week is far too much rest, it would lead an everyday player only playing about 130 games.
  9. I did not fil out any schedule, because the options payout was on my W2 as well. That part is a mixup. I may owe a smaller amount because Sharebuilder did not get me my forms until after I had filed...since I figured it was close to a wash, I did not bother. The IRS figured all of it using a zero cost basis, so if I sold $600 of CAT, it says I made $600, which is absurd. It also is counting my option money twice, as far as I can tell. Again, I'm wondering if a tax person will even think of dealing with this right now, as they have a month to do 2 months work.
  10. The runner for the Rays is an idiot for doing such a thing in an exhibition. That said, the Yankees getting 2 guys suspended for "retaliating", which never hurts anyone, is even more stupid.
  11. I had some "discomfort" in that region last Fall, and after looking on the internet, diagnosed myself with fissures, though it certainly never was more than a pain. Water and fiber healed mine in a couple weeks.
  12. Actually, I believe he needs bran to keep things "soft" down below, which would make it easier on him.
  13. As long as you have your tickets a week before the first game, the rest is all just drama.
  14. He's a guy who refuses to play C, even though that would be his most useful spot. He also makes a lot for a reserve. No interest unless someone gets injured. DET's been trying to give him away for a couple months, and no one will take him. That's a bad sign.
  15. My wife and i think we now have it figured out...when I cashed in my options upon leaving a company, the proceeds were reported on my last pay stub, and were included on my W2. However, the IRS seems to think the options proceeds are in addition, so they think I owe on the entire option amount yet: For example, using pretend numbers to illustrate: 2006 W2, including options proceeds: 50K 2006 IRS says we owe on: 50K + 20K options proceeds, which were included on the W2, 70K total I think I should have filed a "schedule" of some sort. Any advice on who to talk to and what to do would be appreciated. EDIT: We do have the money to pay, but it would devastate our "slush fund". If we owe it, we owe it, so we'll pay it. I'm wondering more should I talk to a lawyer first, an accountant, call for an extension, or what?
  16. My wife and myself just heard from the IRS today that they feel we owe a sizable amount more than we paid in for 2006. They told us we need to pay it by 4/9/08, or we face additional penalties. So, what's the first step? Tax people are overwhelmed right now, they're not going to want to look at it. I'm assuming the IRS police won't be knocking at our door on 4/10, but seriously, a couple weeks is not nearly enough time to deal with this. I just glanced through it, and their is no where to call and ask for an extension or anything.
  17. Why are you talking to Al? I don't see any posts by him here. I did not get this for several minutes. It came to me while reading another thread. Heh.
  18. I'd just avoid running water for more than a minute.
  19. I assume both will make the team and they'll go with 12 arms.
  20. You're going to feel a bit crappy and off if you don't keep a regular pattern. I'm incredibly refreshed since going to all days, and I just used to just work some days and some 12-9's. I've worked with several people who would take a second job a couple days a week working 3rd shift and without fail, their reliability suffered, more illness, more "bad days", more crabbiness. You can get past much of that with the proper attitude and training, but most people are not Army Rangers, nor do they want to be. If you have to do it for your finances, well, you have to do it and suffer. If you do, your choices are to pretty much schedule sleep and follow it, or to feel bad much of your off time. I used to work 60-80 hours a week for 3 years or so, and sometimes, I was taking 12 credits as well. It was demanding, but other than not having much time to myself, it wasn't all that bad. That said, I'm sure it was a lot easier at 23-25 than it would be now. The family time missed out on with my son would leave me feeling quite guilty right off the bat, for one thing. Of course, if the decision is losing your house or working crappy hours, most of us would choose to work odd shifts. EDIT: I should mention that 20-40 hours of my week was delivering pizza, so it was one of the easier jobs out there. Even if it wasn't physically demanding, a whole lot of people could not handle the 5PM-4:30AM shifts either. I cringe when I recall I started at TRU as a storeroom guy, and spent my entire day on concrete...now, 60 minutes back there would have me in pain for a couple days.
  21. A 90 win pace would be 15 wins, so I'd say the over under would probably be set at either 14 or 14.5.
  22. ERA will tell you results, but it will not tell you how well somebody pitched. Isn't OBP just a way of measuring results? It does not measure how hard a guy hit the ball, or how many times he was a victim of a wide strike zone, or how many times he was retired by a fantastic defensive play. While many folks think these things even out, there are some that look at 23 spring training AB's and make a judgement about the future development of a player. To me, ERA's a pretty darn reliable stat. Sure some guys get lucky, but there are also plenty of pitchers who annually have higher WHIP's and consistently seem to do better than you'd expect. It's not good fortune if you do it every year.
  23. Thanks to Logan, I now have a way to filter out all that is not B19...though i do have to add ignore to every newcomer. That's the price I gotta pay...
  24. Bullox, I'm sorry you find my posts so annoying. I will try to do better in the future.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif I had no idea there was an ignore feature either. Thanks for asking. Is there a "favorite" as well?
