  1. I'm chatting with Charter right now. Still verifying info.
  2. All stuff sold in stores is wimpy crap if it's plugged. Unless you can get some good stuff in a catalog or from a plumber, it's a waste of time. That stuff at Menards in the black bottle is Liquid Plumr with a bit of lye. Good for a slow drain, a waste for a clog.
  3. The only options are 0, 1, or 2 outs. About a third of the runs should score on each, except runners have moved up to scoring position more with 2 outs, so I would guess about 40% of runs score with 2 outs. It's just math.
  4. Try a rainout with a child. I think it's a shame they did not have the foresight to put a roof on Target Field. All is well now, but in 3-5 years, they'll have 10K in April.
  5. We grill about 8 chicken breasts, eat 3, and have the rest for salads and such. We do this all winter too. In fact, I just made a BBQ chicken pizza with one such leftover.
  6. You're well beyond Liquid Plumr, it will only work if it is slow. I don't think it would hurt to try the CLR, but it sounds like a major clog, and for those, a pro is probably needed.
  7. I'm dating myself here, but it was listed that way in TV Guide for all channels that carried it. The Madison station I got never carried them, but the ones that did were all listed that way. I always thought it was strange it was longer, and read about the news break and extra ad time, as they said that increased the number of affiliates that carried it by a huge amount. Still, many pushed it back to 11, 11:30, or even later.
  8. Perhaps I could have been more clear, but yes, the affiliates prefer a syndicated program to Conan. I would think this could be made up by giving them a 90 second news break and extra local ad time during the show (perhaps go from 10-11:05). CBS did this for years when they had repeats of crime dramas on at 10:30, pre-Dave. At 11, they'd do a quick newscast, and in the TV Guide, it was listed as a 70 minute program.
  9. Rickey, in previous seasons, you have said these seats were also not be sold again. They are out of my price range, but just wanted to tell you that while you may feel it's implied, you did not say not to resell. By the way, what is the face value of these tickets?
  10. I think it's terrible Conan is stepping on George Lopez's dreams. I think it says a lot Fox would rather have Seinfeld and Simpsons reruns on at 10/11. Needless to say, Conan will not put much of a dent into the network guys.
  11. I've seen a thousand plays better than Mark B's. Clark's catch was as good as Edmonds, but never got the play.
  12. Suffering from the trade of Laporta, Brantley, and to a lesser degree Gillespie. Add Gamel, Lawrie, Salome, and Gindl to that, you have a nice list.
  13. I assume the cops will come if you call them, and "suggest" they keep their dog on a leash. However, I'd call a vet and ask how pepper spray will affect a dog just to be sure.
  14. Have you ever noticed it's always the utility INF's who hit .189 who talk a lot about "chemistry"?
  15. I will never again have sex with any woman other than my wife. {Note, this is due to the many requests made by women other than my wife.} EDIT: I now realize this implies I was unfaithful. Of course, I was speaking of before marriage, when my life resembled a rock star's, or a young Scott Baio's.
  16. They used to laugh at us when we said Brantley "might" be the bigger loss. That said, Matt's skill set, doubles and homers, is likely to have a long career, even if it is not as a star.
  17. I read that as one, unless you find a friendly ticket rep, you might be able to do 2.
  18. Fine if he's healthy, but that's the big risk with any pitcher.
  19. Jackson, nor any other player signed after 3/1 is eligible for the playoffs. Ersan will see plenty of time at C, and Luke MaM will play more at the 4. It's a shame, but I'm surprised there is not more disgust at Amare S. I had no problem calling it a dirty play last night, as the push to the lower back might have been just enough to cause the fall...of course, we'll never know. If he would have went for the block, I have no problem with it, but he made no effort to play the ball. What he did will only lead to throwing the shooter off-balance, and that's just what happened. They'd be running that nonstop if Lebron or Kobe had got hurt.
  20. Yeah, keeping a guy who has never seen AAA and has plenty of options and losing Narveson or Parra is senseless. He'll be brought up if he's doing well in AAA and they need an arm, as the reserve SP's are in the 'pen or on the DL.
  21. Actually, Mark A gave him the 4th year. Doug only offered three, MA went 4 during their LA meal. A link must exist for this. The original post is truthful, though he's well overpaid. Just going by production, I'd say he's middle of the pack for a 5th starter, maybe top third if you give him credit for durability.
  22. Rivera gets out 70% of the time. He is an offensive C whose only skill is a bit of extra-base pop. He's AAA fodder.
  23. I would assume you can fight for unemployment, but it would have been far easier to have them term you. Retail is a game, every DM I worked for at my last company was fired (that's 7 in 7 years), and I worked for many very good people who were pushed out for little to no reason. Politics play a huge role, and often times, it's just who they like. They have people searching Monster and the like to recruit, so I would have asked what's wrong with seeing what was out there, especially since you may be moving. It probably would have ended the same, but those HR people are clueless, and an answer would have probably been pricelessly ignorant.
