  1. Probably, but at this point of the season can't play for tomorrow, even if it is the Cubs. Yeah, good point.
  2. Swarzak warming up is a bit suprising. That would take him out for tomorrows game (I would think).
  3. I find these charts really interesting. I always kind of thought Braun stood away from the plate daring pitchers to pitch him away because he prefered pitches out there. Those numbers would suggest otherwise.
  4. Agreed. Braun has the resume and reputation of a clutch hitter. He's been there, and like you said, he is the one I want up in those situations.
  5. Teams are not laying down for us. That's just the feel of September baseball sometimes. Teams out of contention may want to see what they have with some of their prospects which can lead to some bad lineups/rotations.
  6. Maybe I'm nitpicking, like adambr2 said these words are very subjective, but to me there's a difference between elite and special. Braun is still a special hitter imo. His approach throughout his career has changed very little (minus when he couldn't pull the ball due to his thumb injury). He can still hit it to all fields with authority. I still believe he can be a .300+ hitter with 25+ hrs. And to your other point about being clutch, that's the weird thing about him this year. He hasn't been. He seems to be pressing more with RISP (he holds a .200 AVG w/RISP). I would think that stat is just an aberration and will not be the norm for the next couple of seasons.
  7. They said the partial tear (because it was on the basepaths) is not normally where pitchers tear their labrum. I don't think this Nelson will be missing to much of '18 if any at all.
  8. Good to see Phillips back in the lineup. This is a huge time for him to showcase what he can do on the big stage.
  9. Stanley has ties to Iowa as well, so there was no guarantee he would have ever been a Badger.
  10. Would probably prefer the Cards to sweep. At worst the cards need to win the series and the Brewers need to win their series. I'll do it the hard way. I HATE the Cardinals. I hope they get swept. Then we'll sweep the Cubs next weekend and break their hearts. I just cannot stand the Cardinals. The Cubs aren't near their territory of annoying. There is no other team in any sport I hate more than the Cardinals, so I hear you.
  11. I would say he needs another 1-2 years before he could become a true threat. He will flash some games, and he will pick up 3 fouls in 5 minutes some games. I think he will be better than last year, but maybe not take that big next step that Giannis took.
  12. Would probably prefer the Cards to sweep. At worst the cards need to win the series and the Brewers need to win their series.
  13. The Rockies next 9 games are against the Padres and Giants (7 vs. Padres) with the next 3 at home. The Dodgers falling off really hurt the WC chase.
  14. http://www.wtmj.com/sports/bluegoldoctober/milwaukee-brewers-miami-marlins-series-moved-to-miller-park-after-hurricane-irma More tickets were added to the Friday game (23,000 total).
  15. I would imagine they had a tough time staffing people on such short notice.
  16. Yeah it'd be nice to get two more innings from him and call it a day. I would imagine Garza has the shortest leash possible. I'm on the 4 inning bandwagon.
  17. Exciting news. Well deserved especially with the state of our middle relief.
  18. I think it's been said a few times before but we should probably ignore the Cubs for now. I think it's highly unlikely we catch them at this point. We should focus on the wild card spots and hopefully set it up so that Davies is throwing against the Dbacks. Hard to ignore the Cubswhen the Brewers still have 7 games left against them.
  19. Adam McCalvy @AdamMcCalvy Matt Garza won't start Sunday but is not being completely removed from the rotation, per CC. Get ready for a creative Sept. pitching picture 4:36 PM - 31 Aug 2017
  20. Looks like Diaz is done for the year with a broken hamate bone. Will be ready to go for next spring. http://www.rotoworld.com/recent/mlb/8582/isan-diaz
