  1. I would think so, despite Severino going only 4 innings and not being considered a "bullpen game". It's all basically the same to me.
  2. If this has to do with the Cubs and Terrance Gore, they wouldn't have been in extra innings if it wasn't for him. Would you prefer to lose in regulation or extend a game into extras while losing an offensive threat? And, Keon's offense is light years better than Gore's (not saying much).
  3. +1000...I don't see the need for Broxton at all...At least not with Santana...one or the other, but not both. Cedeno not being on it absolutely floored me. I assumed he was a lock. Our rotation doesn't go deep into games. Can you afford to keep a pitcher that is used for one player with a 25 man roster? Maybe, maybe not. Keon, imo, is mainly on the team to be that pinch runner for late game situations (see Terrance Gore). Keon will also be subbed in defensively in late game situations. Keon is not on the roster for his offense.
  4. Getting a clean top of the 1st will go a long way in this game. Don't care how it gets done, just keep a 0 on that scoreboard.
  5. Blackmon's splits are pretty similar. Not sure using up a lefty on him is worth it with the other lefties the have on the roster. We'll see I guess.
  6. I'm sure that "They run their mouths a lot" is a shot a Cole Hamels right? Interesting quote because about 2 weeks ago he was quoted saying that he hopes the Cubs don't have to play the Brewers in the playoffs. Baez vs. Brewers: .206/.263/.291 (.544OPS) 0HR 9XBH 141AB 52K
  7. REALLY hate those start times... I mean REALLY hate them. agreed Agreed as well. I can't find the record, but I hope this team is over playing poorly in the daytime.
  8. FWIW (and according to the numbers I put together) The NL Central was 92-73 vs. NL West. MIL: 23-10 STL: 20-14 CHC:19-14 PIT: 12-21 CIN: 18-14
  9. As cool as it would be to have won this at Miller Park, I don't think that would top what we just witnessed. From the let's go Brewers chants and Moose chants, to the MVP chants with Cub fans trying to drowned it out by booing, it really doesn't get any better. This could have happened regardless, but I really think what Cole Hamels said light a fuse in our players and fan base that lead us to winning the division. It's just too bad that these aren't rival teams.
  10. As long as there is a celebration at Miller Park too. That 2008 celebration was something special.
  11. Santana is a must. He has earned a roster spot.
  12. Sutcliffe is the worst announcer there is so I'm okay with that. Love Boog though.
  13. It's crazy to think my favorite Brewer moment of 2018 came from Jonathan Schoop, but that GS off a Bumgarner was amazing. With MadBum hitting Braun on purpose, you could feel the intensity of that game. I was running around and screaming afterwards like it was a Rodgers Hail Mary when Schoop hit that.
  14. Yelich's 2nd half compared to the Barry Bonds' 7 MVP years averaged out (2nd half). Pretty amazing.
  15. I would personally start Bader in the leadoff spot and have Carp bat in the 2 hole. Fair enough. One way or another, move carpenter down and stagger the lefties a bit more so you don't have 5-6 RH bats in a row against a RHP When you only have two starters that are left handed, I'm not sure it matters too much. I really think teams should start a lefty reliever every game if Carpenter bats lead off though. Carpenter is 12th in the MLB for pitches per plate appearance. That plus Bader's speed makes sense as to why Carp should be in the 2 hole. I guess is matters if Bader can get on base at a high enough clip.
