  1. You’re gonna hate it when they play the Red Sox…
  2. Most of the discussion I have seen on the humidors and baseballs has focused on the batted side. Have any pitchers weighed in on the difference in the balls?
  3. This game went through 7 innings quickly. Slowed to a crawl the last two innings.
  4. I noticed the discussion online and on the radio has gone from not drafting a wr early. Now they are saying, “can Watson gain AR’s trust?” Just stfu already.
  5. Cardinal loss would drop the magic number to 139.
  6. I’m not complaining, but the draft value points are in favor of the Vikings by about 120 points. That seems like a lot in the second round. ETA: the final pick in the third is assigned 120, fwiw.
  7. Would love to see that as well.
  8. Good. I seem to remember tight ends running free against GB last year. Maybe they can stop that now.
  9. Announcer: “Williams facing the heart of the order (sharp inhale), Gamel, Chavis, Suwinski (exhale)”. I know, those three got the rally going in the 7th, but it ain’t exactly Murderers’ Row.
  10. When you are dealing with the elite in a profession, like the top 700 baseball players, or in this case, one of the best relievers in history, it's nothing like a manager who has a bunch of hourly employees working for them. You don't think that people in the c-suite of corporations don't dictate some of the terms of their employment? I wish people would quit trying to relate professional sports' workplace dynamics with how things work down at their job.
  11. This was a fun read: https://www.nbcsports.com/washington/wizards/here-are-preseason-nba-title-favorites-2021-22 So as the new season draws near, which teams have the best chance of raising the Larry O’Brien Trophy in 2022? To no surprise, the Nets lead the way among preseason NBA championship favorites with +225 odds, according to our partner, PointsBet. Behind Brooklyn is the Los Angeles Lakers with +350 title odds. The 2020 NBA champions were doomed by an Anthony Davis injury in a first-round playoff loss to the runner-up Phoenix Suns. There’s a sizable gap between the Lakers and the team with the next-best title odds, which is the defending champions at +800.
  12. Off to a good start this season. Making 10 million. I vote yes. Probably a game of chicken with him where you balance the remaining money owed to him and the likelihood of another team jumping ahead of you.
  13. Willy Adames waking up the echos of Ted Kubiak last night. Shortstop with a 7-rbi game. That stood alone as the Brewer record for rbis in a game for over 30 years.
  14. I'm busy on Thursday. Could someone help me out and fill this in after the round is over? Thanks in advance. I can't believe the Packers drafted ________ when ________ was available. And they traded up/down to do it? Gutekunst must be (pick one) stupid/high/trying to piss off Aaron Rodgers.
