  1. Sure, I’m ready to be done with Norris, but six pitchers have given up 8 home runs this weekend. Norris, Ashby, Rea, Burnes, Lauer, Gustave.
  2. I wish the Brewers were playing more like the Rays, another team with nothing to play for. I will now take my punishment from fellow posters.
  3. Sure, pitch Colin Rea. Starting Bettinger against the Dodgers went well…
  4. Not always ... Does he throw a change up?
  5. Somebody must have told Kershaw it’s October.
  6. If you aren't sure about the price, get quotes from other companies. That is the more common and appropriate way to shop/negotiate a price for something like HVAC. If anything I would get a cheaper quote and see if they would match, but HVAC is facing shortages and their schedules are pretty packed. Maybe get a detailed quote to see what they are charging for the unit(s) and how much for labor. Then you can maybe find out if they are overpricing something. I can second what TPlush is saying. I had been messing around with getting quotes for a new furnace for most of the year. I also had to do a new roof and did my driveway, so I was hoping to punt on the expense until next year. Mind you, I NEED a new furnace. Have gotten almost 25 years out of the current one, and the guy who does my maintenance recommended that I replace. I ran into a high school friend last week. In catching up, he told me works in purchasing for a company. They can't get product for their company. They have been waiting since January for a new company truck, for example. I mentioned my furnace issue. He said, "If they have one, grab it. If it breaks in December, they might not have one available to sell you." I went back to two vendors, and both as much told me, "This is the price. Take it or leave it." I took it. So, I'm getting a new furnace this month. TL, DR: With supply chain disruptions, you may not have much negotiating power. Multiple quotes is your way to get the best price. They may not move much.
  7. Excellent post. Thank you.
  8. Stearns probably has a good opinion of O.J. Simpson if that is his point of view. Man, you really want him punished, don't you? Get that pound of flesh. Make you feel good.
  9. Under. Well under. Can't blame him, hard to catch up to three 82 mph pitches.
  10. I've been a baseball fan for a looong time now, and I feel dumb for asking, but does the AAA season always last this long? I thought they were done with regular season games by now. Is this a 2021 thing? I see they have games up until Sunday. ETA: Never mind, Google is my friend.

  12. Jace Peterson has to be wondering what he did wrong to get put between KH and JBJ. Short of hitting a home run, he's probably not getting an RBI nor a run scored.
  13. Agreed Being at AmFam Field last Wednesday was enough for me. I want so little to do with this game, I may actually do work for my job during it.
  14. Of all the takes in this thread, assuming Cardinal fans even have souls is the biggest reach.
  15. I will. He and his teammates are finishing up an incredible regular season. Getting through injuries, COVID protocols, the whole grind to be in this position. They have WS potential, despite the tepid September performance. He has to know he's a huge reason for that. And to do something that absolutely ******* moronic because he can't hold his liquor? It almost defies belief. I get all that and think your position is a fair one to have of an adult. But if you're getting so drunk that you throw your most prized possession into a wall...probably a bigger issue going on. Or, you drink so rarely that you behave in an uncharacteristic manner. I'm pretty pissed off at the guy, but you don't need to suggest he's an alcoholic.
  16. I guess his new pitch, the Wallbender, will have to wait.
  17. Why would they do that? After tonight, the Brewers have five games in the next ten days! Eat innings? They’ve been managing workload all season. Do we really want these guys not pitching for a week or only pitching an inning or two? I seem out of alignment with you all on all of this.
  18. I guess I don’t get it. They will be off from Sunday to Friday. Next week we will be having the “knock off the rust” discussions. And now, Hoby Milner? I better just go to bed.
  19. It literally doesn't matter at this point. We have clinched the division. The only thing they have to do is avoid injuries. Two questions: do you believe the team thinks it doesn’t matter? And if so, why are you and I even watching?
