  1. They have to stop putting the lead off runner on. This game has me in such a foul mood
  2. Agreed. On a serious note, I'm terrified they knock us out. I agree. I don't understand the flippant attitude people have toward the Cardinals. They're the last team I want to see in the playoffs. Count me in that group as well. Especially when you consider the level they would be playing at as well. Add in their voodoo…I might have to be sedated for that series
  3. Or else the Cardinals decided to try to take advantage of the Brewers problems against left handed starters, and Lester’s past success against the Brewers, to try to get a jump in the series. If Garcia and Cain are still out the Brewers will be stuck with Bradley and Peterson in the OF. Given the fact that Woodford is not injured, and that he and Lester were merely flipped, that is probably the reason.
  4. What am I missing here? The stats linked in the original post show batters are 24 of 95, or .252. However, the stats at the bottom show a batting average of .307. The on-base pct of .449 seems impossible based on that. Add in walks and they are 33/104, for a .318 average. Freddy would have had to hit about 30 or 40 of them to get to .449, right? If I am making some colossally stupid error, I apologize in advance. But the numbers would suggest a OPS closer to .790 than .918. Freddy's last start against STL was his first after coming off the IL. 2IP, 4 runs. Freddy's other start against the Cardinals this year, he went 7 IP with 1 hit, 1 BB, and 8 Ks. That makes me feel a lot better about tonight.
  5. The Brewers have to work Adames, Taylor, and Garcia back in. Plus there’s a 28-man roster. Sunday lineups are harder to do.
  6. Nightmare...down the drain...dud. Holy cow, Woodruff must have give up...THREE runs! It's weird that fans of a team with what, 36? comeback wins falls into despair so easily.
  7. Somebody was selling tickets in Section 334 for $13 bucks. I love the Club level, so this feels free. I'll take it.
  8. I posted this in the game thread, but I never got through. Gave up after 20 minutes of watching a ball-in-glove logo spin.
  9. Anyone else try to get the free tickets given away at 10am? Any of you get through? That experience was poor. Got in, selected tickets, went to pay...it hung up, spinning mitt logo...finally timed out as "an unexpected error occurred." What was the unexpected part? That a lot of people would be trying to get tickets?
  10. Any time I see the Brewers celebrating, it's a good thing. I will allow one celebration. Only one! Then I will go back to policing body language.
  11. Such a great season, but 3-10 against DET, MIN, and KC with one to play is a real puzzle. I guess going 12-5 (eventually 15-5) against LAD, SF, and SD helps mitigate.
  12. The guy in the Meijer ad where the kid is driving badly is the same guy who is doing yoga in his back yard in a Zip Recruiter ad. He needs to center himself better in the Meijer ad.
  13. Tyler O’Neill puts stl up 4-3 with a two-run homer. Exhibit A why I can’t handle the thought of playing Cards in playoffs. Scars are deep for me.
  14. Yes. They both have 69 losses. They can both get to 93 wins if they go undefeated. If either/both does that, the Brewers would need five wins of their own to get to 94. So, the number is 5.
  15. Worth noting that a Tampa loss would put us in tie with them. And let's just say whether or not we finish ahead of the Rays, could indeed matter.... Milwaukee/Tampa World Series tickets in Tampa might be the cheapest possible combination of teams and location. Even with the cost of flying to Tampa figured in. I am trying to figure out my budget for the playoffs. Pay for the sure thing (NLDS)? Or save for the NLCS and/or WS? In 2018 I had to be in Denver on business. Went to Game 2 in Milwaukee, the flew out early Sunday morning to catch the clincher at Coors, and saw one game with the Dodgers in Milwaukee.
  16. It’s nice that Cleveland has some errors. Breaks up all those zeros in the box score.
