  1. I'm starting to think Grisham should get called up this year, and maybe even before September. I've been torn on this. He's still only 22, and as good as he has been, he probably still has some development in front of him. We've waited a long time for him to deliver on his potential and I think we need to resist the temptation to rush things now. 100% he gets added to the 40 in the offseason and maybe follows the Hiura path next year for a callup schedule. I'm in no rush. He's not even 23 yet. The plan needs to be put in place for 2020 though. I'm wondering how we avoid having 5 of our 6 top bats being LH in the near future.
  2. I hope you mean 2020. I hope so too. However, he looked far less ready this year than Woodruff did in 2017. I don't think this is going to up and fix itself quickly.
  3. The revision of Baseball america's top 30 prospects for each team came out today. They have Grisham at #9. Dont remember where he was previously. That's way too low. No matter where everyone is at on the Grisham hype train I think we can all agree there are not 8 better prospects in our system at this very moment than Trent Grisham. Not sure he's 9th if you count all of our guys who are pre-arby. I'd struggle to find 3 better prospects if you graduate Hiura.
  4. Not sure that they have a choice sometimes. I’m sure a lot of teams want to wait to see where there team ends up by July 31st. And hold out to get their best deal. Yeah and Streans probably won't be fishing with big offers... he'll probably try to do a few rental deals on the cheap. There's no reason for selling teams to do those early.
  5. Peralta doesn't agree. Nor does his 2.57 reliever ERA. Hader Houser and Peralta are our 3 best pen arms.
  6. I want Burnes in AAA until 2021. He's a starter, he's just not ready yet.
  7. Watching JJ right now, I keep thinking. I wish CC would give Peralta and Houser more 2 inning save ops. Soo glad Houser goes back into the pen soon.
  8. I actually like this idea a lot. I don't believe the argument that Hiura is just too young to handle batting higher in the order. He's just a great natural hitter, and if he's not cracking under the pressure of playing in the big leagues for the first time, I don't expect him to suddenly cave under the pressure of batting leadoff. I think it's gaining a lot of steam. Even with Cain 9th... just give his thumb less ABs to get beat up. The guy needs to be in CF. His bat has not proven it NEEDS to be anywhere. If he gets hot in the 9 hole... Hiura Yelich are going to rip off a lot of RBIs.
  9. Out with a good throw I think. If it was dead on he was cleanly out, you were correct. A swipe would have made it close.
  10. You'll see that a bunch here... until you get past 2k posts. They tend to love on the newbies more. Find a forum no one uses and post 3,000 times. Then they'll respect you.
  11. I’ve said for a while I would love Cain, Hiura, Yelich as long as Cain can get on a roll which he’s showing signs of. Gives Hiura some RBI chances and I think Yelich RBI total goes up as well. Edit - If Hiura leads off then bat pitcher 8, I’m good with that as well. I'm good with that right now... 9-1-2 and I didn't see your edit.
  12. Out with a good throw I think. It's close but you aren't stealing 3rd from 2nd with no outs in the 1st inning.
  13. Who's doing that? I'm not even calling him up this year. I just don't want him moved and I want Braun preparing to play 1B next year.
  14. Grisham plays LF He's been a CF pretty much his whole career as a pro. But he isn't a good one. That's why he plays LF I know he's there... certainly shouldn't be. His power surge this year guaranteed that.
  15. 18 - 27 in his last 6 3 bb 2k 5 2b... 4 HR Batting .667 50% XBH
  16. 4-5... with 3 doubles. .358 average now. These numbers are insane. Drafted out of high school so despite being in the system for a few years he's still 22, three months younger than Hiura. Now I'm starting to wish the NL had a DH so we could get him up. 18 - 27 in his last 6 3 bb 2k 5 2b... 4 HR Batting .667 50% XBH I mean....
