  1. Why bother giving up outs when you don't have to, I say!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tell it to CC, its his choice. He'll challenge something stupid later.
  2. If the pirates win this ... we might as well start scoreboard watching the entire division.
  3. Yeah its all about framing. Hit your spot... its a strike 4 inches in any direction. Make the catcher move his glove and its a ball unless its middle middle. until that cb on gamel ball 2 lol, now he's just making crap up. ball 1 to saladino was a strike all night.
  4. That's true but Segura was a phenom who fell off the world until we traded him. Not like he matured into it. He had it, lost it, got it back.
  5. Why are we cursed at SS? Escobar was better in KC Segura was better after leaving. Arcia would surely explode if we moved on from him. What's the deal?
  6. That's because it's Mike Estabrook. He's not even seeing the ball... he's just calling it based on the framing.
  7. This ump is all over the place high strike to cain... ball low ball to cain... strike low strike to scooter... ball
  8. Cain would do much better if he wasn't chasing soo much. NM everyones chasing today... see you tomorrow.
  9. I really don't think that awful 0-2 pitch was lost on anyone. It's been discussed. Think he was referring to the second one of the inning on the walk off. It was equally bad as the one to Puig. The last 2 ABs. I don't love when pitchers try to nibble but up 0-2 you don't throw a belt high FB. Ever. He did it 2 AB in a row. Maybe he needs to learn how to pitch and it isn't a command issue. Good grief. He gave them what they wanted while being ahead in the count.
  10. Well I responded we have them but we 1 are starting Houser 2 cut Peralta short tonight for no reason. CC is on the hook for a loss here.
  11. Really wanted 2.1 from Peralta there. No reason to pull him with 2 outs. Who do you trust to get to Hader?
  12. You could insert Cain for Braun here. It doesn't look like Braun was too concerned when he was taken out of the game, but if he's out for an extended ampunt of time and with Cain struggling, what do you do with the outfield? Braun won't be out. If he didn't make that catch Cain shoulda been pulled instead of Braun. CC being protective. Gamel can play a lot more than he does. Grisham could have a cup of coffee. It would be nice to shut Braun and Cain down thru the break for rest.
  13. Because Braun and Cain have been better? In avg, or obp or ops? I'm sick of treating Braun like a legacy. Took them forever to get Grandal and Moose ahead of him in the order. Hiura's next. Batting in front of the pitcher? Batting Arcia pseudo lead off? It's clumsy all around. Current publicly available projections look like... Braun: 102-109 wRC+ Cain: 94-104 wRC+ Hiura: 90-99 wRC+ Based on the lineups they've employed I'm guessing the Brewers internal projections are somewhere along those same lines. If Keston continues to hit around his current 117 wRC+ as he gets more PAs his projection should improve & I'd imagine they consider moving him up in the lineup once that point is reached. You mean he's graded improperly because he's a rookie. Got it. That's really all those projections are. A rookie being graded down because rookies in general take time.
