  1. Oh yeah? Please, elaborate on those reasons. I'd love to hear them. You are smart. You can figure it out! Apparently I am not. No need to condescend. Heck, you are the one who pointed out that Urias should be the obvious Cy Young winner, even though he isn't in the national conversation for that award whatsoever. Why do you think that is?

  3. I could see how you could theoretically believe this ... if you don't take previous playoff positioning into account whatsoever.
  4. My guess is that if you are a fan complaining about starter usage in the last week of meaningless regular season baseball games, you don't care about pitch counts or innings limits.
  5. Based on the argument being given, Suter is the better pitcher. Devin Williams has 8 wins Josh Hader has 4 wins. It takes both to equal the effectiveness of Suter!
  6. He probably would have won it 10 years ago. Butt not real sure that wins are really all that important of a stat anymore. When wins are not important, we have really gotten away from what is really important. Suter is tied for 11th in the NL in wins. It isn't a completely meaningless stat, but there are objectively better stats out there now for measuring pitching effectiveness.

  8. Yes, the Dodgers are really. good. The Brewers, too, are really good. But only one of those teams really has something to play for right now.
  9. C-ya Friday. If you think this team is gonna flip a switch on Friday I have swamp land for sale in AZ. Good Lord. How many times do you need to hear that the last week of games are meaningless? The Brewers have treated them like glorified Spring Training games. I perhaps worry about a little rust, but there is no switch that needs flipping.
  10. They shouldn't have needed any. If they do, it's on them.
  11. You know what would have been kind of fun? Watching Ethan Small pitch these innings instead of Colin Rea.
  12. We as a fan base don't really know, because the Brewers have never, ever been in this position. CC cans say whatever he wants about wanting to win these games but we are seeing B lineups almost every game and he is using the last guys out of the bullpen an awful lot. Meanwhile, the Cards and Ddodgers are still playing for positioning. These games just aren't being played out like the will be in the playoffs. Yep. The relievers have been pre-scheduled since Tuesday. These are glorified Spring Training games. Just have to hope the rust is minimal next weekend.

  14. The Dodgers are what is wrong about baseball Have an injury or underperformer? Just go buy a star. If for some reason you can't buy a star, pay pennies on the dollar in trades for other teams' stars. Easy way to win.
  15. I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that it'll be the Collin Rea show tomorrow.
  16. Yep ... especially considering that Mertz actually looked a lot better before getting trucked today.
  17. No ... next weekend would be a WAY more terrible time to be playing their worst baseball.
  18. To be fair, the same guy who said that still wants Braun to come back to play 3B.
  19. This is fun. Where were these at-bats against the Cardinals the last couple weeks?
  20. Bummer for Za'Darius. Guess it's Rashan Gary season now.
  21. Forgive me, but I'm not seeing the prediction here. I think the first line in his post explains why you don't see a prediction. Just saying... "I’m not going to make a prediction on a series that I consider a true toss up." Yeah, my mind didn't see the word "not". Egg on my face.
