  1. CB was obviously a need, and Stokes is quite possibly the most athletic one in the draft. Really fun potential pairing with Alexander. Can't coach speed, and he put up a 4.25 40. Great size, too, at 6'1, 190.
  2. Trevon Moehrig here we come! Was just looking at the list, and he seems like he was made to be a Packer. It would enable them to put Savage into the Star role, though.

  4. Saints needs somewhat mirror the Packers. Will be interesting where they go here.

  6. I guess if I had to talk myself into it, he lined up on the slot WR'er over half the snaps last year and is considered more of a safety/LB'er hybrid(some teams apparently think he's more of a safety). I don't love using a 1st on a MLB'er, but he has a chance to be pretty unique. Agreed. Packers have never had an athlete like that. They have tried to make Greene and Ibrahim Campbell into a player like that over the last few years, but JOK is on a different level from those guys.

  8. I now think Tevin Jenkins is the pick. Although Moore or Bateman would be fun.

  10. I'm gonna guess the Packers go with Greg Newsome. That is probably sure to be wrong, though. Lots of names available that I'd like, though.

  12. Well, Jeff Gladney apparently had no off field concerns last year. Draft continues to be a crapshoot.

  14. Good pick for them. That team has really swung and missed with their high o-line picks lately, but Darrisaw is a good, safe pick.

  16. Eric Lauer with 5 shutout innings, and Travis Shaw with the game-winning 2-run dinger. It's almost like this game was designed to troll Brewerfan.net.

  18. Yes, the Dodgers - a team that Eric Lauer has perhaps inexplicably absolutely owned in his short career, in a sample size that you can actually derive a trend from. Ok then, we will see what happens. We saw. We liked. Great work by Lauer tonight. He has vaulted himself back into the long-term starting pitching conversation with his performance tonight.

  20. A little part of me wonders if this is possibly a leak by the Packers to justify trading off Jordan Love this weekend? Like they are saying Rodgers is pissed, so they are going to give him an extension and, look, trade away the guy they drafted has his heir. Kind of bizzaro Favre.
  21. ESPN's Rob Demovsky (formerly of the Press-Gazette) says his source claims there was no call. That was in response to another tweet from Bill Michaels, referencing a specific trade package...but call vs. no call, it sounds like a dead story at this point. Both Pelissero and Glazer have confirmed that the 49ers did reach out (after Demovsky's tweet), but no formal offer. Totally a dead issue, but there is obvious league interest there, and it is likely there will be next year as well.
  22. Tom Pelissero @TomPelissero The #49ers reached out to the #Packers on Wednesday about trading for Aaron Rodgers, but no formal offer was made and a source said there is a “zero percent chance” that Green Bay deals the reigning NFL MVP. Wouldn't surprise me if something like this happened at this time next year or the year after. Not now, though. The cap hit would be too extreme to make it work, regardless of the return the 49ers would be sending back (which would have to be enormous at this point).

Ok then, we will see what happens. I totally get that the odds are not great, but there is at least a glimmer of hope amongst the perceived gloom and doom. I get the feeling that we'll know very early on, likely before the end of the first half inning, how things are going to go.
