  1. Yep, shoulda had Grisham two pitches earlier, and should have had Kim looking. Tight zone today. Rasmussen's stuff looks electric.
  2. I don't think that price is unreasonable. If you tune into 20-30 games a month, for $3 - $4 per game, is that horrible? I'm tired of fighting streaming services, the random price increases, channels dropping out of the blue. I'm going back to cable once I am in my new place, about a month away. If you are worried about random price increases and channels dropping out of the blue, the same exact thing happens regularly with cable as well.

  4. Doesn't appear that there will be a Sogard/Brewers reunion, at least for now.

  6. Arcia as everyday 3B... You gotta be kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know if I'd read much into anything that a manager says concerning positional battles on March 2.

  8. 2.4 million were administered both Friday and Saturday, according to https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/covid-vaccine-tracker-global-distribution/. I would think that as the weather warms in the northern half of the country, and mass vaccination clinics get rolling as more doses become available, they should be able to jump over that 3 million/day mark.

  10. You can do ATT TV on a monthly basis. The price is higher the first year, but then cheaper after that versus a contract as the second year of a contract is much higher. It is only a $8 or so increase to be on a monthly basis and it doesn't have an automatic increase after a year. Not sure why anyone would go with the contract to be honest. That being said it really isn't any cheaper than cable. It is just the cable equivalent for ATT internet users because they can bundle it for slightly cheaper prices. This is correct. Just looked at the options this morning, and it appears that to get FS Wisconsin, you need to choose AT&T TV's Choice package, which is $84.99/month. Which is very much less than ideal.

  12. I'd love for one of the darkhorses to step up and beat Lindblom out for a spot, but I doubt it happens. Which is fine. Lindblom is a fine back-end starter.

  14. They haven't lied in their COVID response yet, so I have no reason to doubt this info. Things are certainly trending in the right direction.

  16. Lindblom looked good at the end of last year. I'm not going to write him off based on his first inning of Spring Training. I mean are people ready to cut bait based on one inning in Arizona on March 2 when he had trouble locating? Sheesh!

  18. This is terrific news. I'm guessing that everyone who wants a vaccine will be able to get one by early June or even May now. We might have a chance for a somewhat closer to normal summer yet! Just to follow up on this ... the current administration announced today that it is expected that enough vaccines will be available that everyone who wants one can get one by the end of May. This is awesome!
  19. But ... wouldn't having Hader on the 2021/2022 Milwaukee Brewers rosters theoretically provide value? I feel like that aspect isn't really being taken into account. Hanging on to one of the most talented relief pitchers in baseball is a good thing for a playoff contending team. Yes, this is fair. Having Hader on a rebuilding Brewer club would be a waste right now, but this team should contend. Right now, I think I'd peg us at 2nd in the division. I do think the Cards landing Arenado is going to hurt. I love the Wong move. Adding either Bradley or Odorizzi would be a great finish to the offseason. We're going to need some things to go right. Yelich definitely needs to return to form. We need a breakout from someone like Urias, and I'm hoping for a big rebound year from someone like Lindblom, Cain, Garcia or Narvaez. Agreed completely. If the Brewers were a bottom-rung team (think Pirates), Hader would probably already be gone. He's still a Brewer because the Brewers see him as a very valuable piece of a contending team. Not that he is never going to be traded (I think Stearns will listen on anyone), but the chances of it I think are very slim unless for some reason the bottom falls out contention-wise, which I cannot see happening as long as Yelich and the quality pitching stick around. Hader provides an enormous amount of value to a playoff-contending club, so the offer is going to have to be huge to pry him away. Obviously those offers are going to decrease in value as Hader gets closer to free agency, but in theory he will continue to provide immense value to the Brewers during that time. You are correct that we need some things to go right, but as of now, I don't see any reason why this team wouldn't be in contention for a playoff spot not only this season, but into the immediate future as well.

  21. I have no problems with the Packers' receiving corps. Just because most of them are not high picks, it doesn't mean they aren't talented. Guys with the talent of MVS, St. Brown, Lazard and Funchess would play anywhere. They are obviously not Adams-level talented (no one is), but they are talented guys. I think it is more than likely they draft WR early, and perhaps multiple WRs, because, as of right now, Adams, MVS, St. Brown and Funchess are unrestricted free agents after the 2021 season, while Lazard will be a restricted free agent.
  22. TE really seems like a rough position to simply throw a rookie into and expect them to compete. I agree that if some team throws a huge contract at Tonyan, you have to think long and hard about letting him go, but I doubt that is going to happen. Pretty rare that restricted free agents actually change teams, especially those tendered at that 2nd round level.
  23. Agreed. I don't think Campusano is likely even on the table. And that is very likely why Hader is not a Padre.
  24. Very good take. 2nd round really is the value of the draft. Samuel would be a big get IMO. Play maker there. If they end up getting 2 seconds from Jones/Tonyen, they would have a shot at moving up if they saw value there. But I’d almost rather get 3 second round quality players. I'd be extremely surprised if anyone gave up a 2nd to sign Tonyan as an RFA. Not gonna happen. But they should still tender him at that level.
  25. Yep ... should probably serve as a warning to those pushing for the Brewers to trade Hader. They'd probably be lucky to get 1-2 prospects back the caliber of Diaz and Harrison, let alone a Top 25 MLB prospect like Brinson was at the time. Ironic considering all of the success these two franchises have had over the years trading proven talent for prospects. But I suppose that is all invalidated by this singular example. Not in the least. But that doesn't mean that caution shouldn't be exercised. Prospects who are highly ranked by outside ranking services are not always the end-all, be-all. Brinson, Diaz and Harrison were all certainly "shiny object"-type prospects. It's more of a statement on tempering expectations on any sort of return on Hader more than anything.
