  1. Come on Hiura, you've hit like crap most of the year, at least look like you give a crap on defense.
  2. As much as people want to give this 4 or 5 years to judge it, I'm guessing if Stearns was offered a refund on it right now, he'd jump on it. It is what it is, though. Urias is going to be Brewer property for the next 5 years. We all better hope he improves.
  3. At this point, I'm ready for the offseason too. This 60-game season has seemed longer and more grueling than a lot of 162-game seasons have. This team just has so little personality. It never jelled.
  4. You are forgetting that "reliever Houser" was a stud. That may very well be his future role. Although right now it is looking like the 2021 Brewers are going to have a stacked pen, but perhaps little starting pitching depth behind Woody, Burnes and perhaps Peralta and Lindblom.
  5. He was screwing around and joking after the game... Maybe they figured rather than screw around like they did with Tonyan last year, never get back to 100 pct, but come back in 4-5 weeks, they just try to get it fully healed so he's back for the last ~5 games. That is a brutal loss though. He's such a good blocker it's like having a TE in there(who can burn Lattimore and Jenkins as he did on that stumbling catch last week). In theory, EQ is a similar type of receiver ... a big body, strong guy who can block. He was lauded for his blocking when he played as a rookie. Hopefully he can come back after the bye and provide something.
  6. Healy hitting cleanup was the least of this offense's worries tonight. At least he's made contact up there.
  7. Can we build a hitting lab in Arizona next to the pitching lab? Hiura can sleep on the couch in the lobby.
  8. He didn't really have a huge scuffle. Bad throw and bad pick attempt kept the inning alive. Two weak swings turned into hits. Then he did give up a hard hit to maybe the best hitter in baseball. It should have been a zero run inning I think we all know that for the team to have a chance tonight, Woodruff would have had to be darn near perfect. He wasn't. It sucks, but it is what it is.
  9. It sucks that Woodruff's 5th inning scuffle that plagued him through a big portion of the season came back. Was hoping he was past that with that gem against the Cardinals last weekend, but alas. Still, he was a stud tonight. Ton of pressure on him playing behind a pop-gun offense.
  10. His play at 3B has actually been great this year. That was an off-balance throw that he rushed. No he doesn't have the arm to play the left side of the infield Have you watched him at all this season over there? You simply aren't correct.
  11. When Ryan Appleton is your cleanup hitter, you can only hope for a fluke. I mean, we still have Yelich and Hiur ..... oh yeah, they suck too. Not going to blame this on giving Healy a random start
  12. Dude... Yeah ... Lazard has turned himself into a nice, useful player. But he's not in Adams' stratosphere. Not even close.
  13. A phone call. But they kept Malik Taylor over Kumerow for a reason, and there's probably a good chance to they want to see what they have in Taylor before signing a no ceiling guy like Kumerow.
  14. The Mets hired an agent with no team management experience to be their GM. How the heck did they think this was going to go? I believe they would be in an infinitely better position had they hired the runner-up, Doug Melvin.
  15. It's probably an 8-week injury at minimum. So more or less. They better hope St. Brown is ready to go after the bye.
  16. This is exactly right. He isn’t good enough to be on the roster all season, but becomes a cleanup hitter in an elimination game? Yikes.... Hopefully the Brewers pull off a miraculous victory tonight, but this lineup would have a tough time scoring runs against a AAA squad. I expect major roster turnover once again this offseason. The guys on the roster all season haven't been good enough to be on the roster all season.
