  1. Too bad this guy banned himself. Seriously....asked us to delete his account. His only goal was to crap on this team. I don't think he could handle it when they started playing well.
  2. Was this shown on the FSN broadcast? I feel like I've seen every bit of the postgame coverage, but didn't catch this. The Brewers just threw it up on their official Twitter feed.
  3. Looking back at my posts in this thread, I called it akin to an old man yelling at a cloud, which I stand behind. My other posts in this thread ... yeah, I'm an idiot. I'm sorry for ever doubting this team, if only briefly.
  4. From Bleacher Nation twitter: The 2019 Cubs celebrated being eliminated from postseason contention by immediately walking two and then allowing them both to score on wild pitches, falling behind in the process. LOL
  5. Gio sitting in a chair amidst the celebration is the ultimate cagy veteran move.
  6. Ryan Braun tells Yelich to get down to Cincy before the game, tells Attanasio to pick him up. Proceeds to hit a grand slam in the first inning to eliminate all doubt that this would be a win. Yeah, the guy has his detractors, but that is pretty great.
  7. Jake Faria shotgunning a beer in the middle of the clubhouse. Perhaps he does have a future here LOL
  8. Fangraphs has already installed the Cubs as the 2020 division favorites
  9. Phillies are just plain bad. The Indians will play the Nationals better this weekend.
  10. Has been for awhile. People are cutting the cord, and instead of cutting costs, cable companies are raising rates and reducing customer service on remaining customers. I got rid of my satellite service early last spring, and I don't know why I didn't do it sooner. It was an enormous waste of money.
  11. Angle I saw showed the running sliding right into the glove. I know angles can be deceiving at times, but it looked pretty obvious to me.

  13. Agreed ... the angle they kept showing made it look obvious. Do they not look at the same camera angles in New York? That was a horrid call. It wasn't Fowler, though. It was a no-name rookie. Watching this game is like watching a Spring Training game in early March.

  15. My bad, I should have specified San Antonio. But ok, I just don’t get the Arcia love, especially by a reasonable, seasoned baseball fan as yourself. I don't love Arcia. He's frustrating to watch. But he's also 25, and I want to make damn sure that we have exhausted his upside before tossing him away. I also believe that if the team is going to be serious about replacing him, and tossing money at the position to do it, it needs to be for a player who provides enough of an upgrade to justify robbing from Peter to pay Paul. Because if they sign another SS with the limited operating budget they have, that's less money they will have to upgrade other positions.

  17. Wanna guess what Arcia hit in his 100 ABs in the PCL last year. .341. He hit .341. With a .417 OBP. He hit .267 there in 2016. As a 21 YEAR OLD! This, once again, is the "grass is always greener" argument that BC92 has made a habit of this year. Like I mentioned above, I have no problem with the team bringing in competition for Arcia. What I do have an issue with, though, is throwing money at a player who isn't going to be a substantial upgrade. If Iglesias can be had on a cheap one or two-year deal, by all means, lets get him.

  19. I remember ... drunk moron rushed the field and looked like he was attacking Spiers. He's lucky he only got 90 days in jail ... and that Mike Hampton didn't break him in half.

  21. What we really need is for Arcia to hit .330 down to San Antonio for a couple months next year. Then he'd be a future superstar! A true, natural hitter!
