  1. Brewcrewin07 stopped watching NFL Primetime reruns long enough for that drive-by yesterday.
  2. Are we going to get a Corbin Burnes sighting tonight?
  3. I was about to say "because he's a catcher." But when you think about it, that bat would play as a nearly full time 1B, and it isn't like he'd be blocking anyone.
  4. Yes ... Tyler Saladino. That's it. I mean, so many people want Arcia gone, but I haven't really seen a viable alternative yet that's not going to cost $15+ million per year on a multi-year deal.
  5. I've seen speculation of a 3-4 year deal at $15 million per year.
  6. Lol Coming from the guy that every time Braun shows up on the screen starts bowing in front of his TV. Can’t wait till the next Houser start, can’t imagine what you will post. Come on man, I don’t think you have room to speak. We all have players we aren't fans of. But if we are going to dump Arcia, we need a viable alternative. As I posted above, the few decent free agent options are going to be very expensive, and after that all that's left is basically Arcia-like hitters with decent defense or crappy veteran band-aids.
  7. So what you're saying is that you're good with Saladino as the starting SS? Because that (or likely an equivalent) is what we are liking looking at. We aren't going to see Turang until sometime in 2021 at the earliest. There are multiple free agents better than both Arcia and Saladino. Andrus may opt out, but he'll be very expensive for a career OPS of .703. Iglesias has been decent this year, but has a career OPS of .686. Didi Gregorius would be great, but I can't see the Yankees not resigning him. Then there are guys like Hechavarria and Galvis who are meh. Maybe a band-aid like Jordy Mercer for a year? Chris Owings? Starlin Castro I guess wouldn't be terrible if you can deal with his poor defense.
  8. So what you're saying is that you're good with Saladino as the starting SS? Because that (or likely an equivalent) is what we are liking looking at. We aren't going to see Turang until sometime in 2021 at the earliest.
  9. Jeez, who is getting injured for that to happen? Free agent market for SSs is quite dismal looking. If we are tossing Arcia aside, Saladino might be the next man up.
  10. Is spangenberg under contract for next year? Yes, but I can't imagine they are going to roll a below average defensive SS out there next to Hiura on a regular basis.
  11. It's going to be funny next year when Tyler Saladino is hitting .210 in June as this team's starting SS.
  12. Dang it Orlando ... he giveth, he taketh away.
  13. Arcia is starting to heat up over the last few days.
  14. Yeah, 'ole sleeve tattoo has owned the Brewers in the past. I hope that changes tonight.
  15. LOL ... I do want the Cubs to win, but that was awesome.
  16. Boy, look at that sparkly 5.68 ERA from Kimbrel LOL.
  17. LOL at Martinez imploding. This game is a fly ball away from going extras. I am totally ok with the Cubs winning tonight. Keeps the Brewers division hopes alive. As long as the Cubs don't get a sweep I'm happy.
  18. So much for "stupid money". Shows that its tough to buy a championship.
  19. Gotta wonder about the logic of having your young ace throw 120 pitches in a game you have in hand.
  20. I think the kid should get a chance too. But every time his name is brought up in any public forum, it turns into a pissing match. People know the details you just pointed out, and they just don't listen/care. But I'm done talking about it, as I'm sure someone will be here shortly to shame me for thinking a kid that was convicted and did his time should get an opportunity to make a living doing something he's obviously very talented in.
  21. If that happened, there would be a strong possibility that neither the Cardinals or Cubs make the playoffs. You have to think that the Nats would take a spot, and it would leave a chance for the Mets to sneak in if they end hot.
  22. I think I’d rather have Braun than Cain the next three years +1. Although I think they move him to LF, give him days off, and move him down in the order. I don't know about that. If he has provided any value this year, it's top notch defense in CF. If he's not hobbled, I want him there. Plus the Brewers really have no good alternative in CF for the foreseeable future.
  23. Not good. I wouldn't let him on the field against the Pirates at all this weekend. See if the rest helps. Would be nice to have him for the Reds. I wonder if they play Taylor in CF for the defense this weekend?
