  1. I think the Cardinals produce Tommy Edmans off an assembly line, and just slap a different name on the back of the jersey.
  2. I seems almost unfair that Wainwright is good again. The Cardinals are like a cockroach post nuclear apocalypse.
  3. There were a few posters that mentioned him as an option, but only one that really got upset. Of course, he posted about it a lot, so it seemed like more consternation than it probably was.
  4. I think this is an extremely logical take. There is always the chance that this team could cool off and suffer a bullpen implosion at any time. I am super excited to ride this wave as far as it can take us, but the balance is tenuous. It is very reassuring knowing, though, that if the Brewers take care of business, they are in. No one saw that a month ago.
  5. Last season a Cubs fan troll joined and posted in several IGTs pretending to be a middle aged Brewer fan from Kenosha. His posts got more and more weird, and he continued to bring up his hardened Little League mentor, Coach Cooper, who stressed baseball fundamentals or else. I think Coach Cooper was obviously inspired by Morris Buttermaker. Hmmm, I don't remember this guy... He was back a few weeks ago for a game or two. Big Al or something like that. Someone pegged him as the Coach Cooper guy, and he came clean and took off. I think a few of his outgoing posts may have been deleted, as he was pretty nuts on his way out.
  6. He definitely does not. This is an argument that no one is going to win, and should probably be avoided. Obviously there's a lot of info to come out yet, but I would be very surprised if Vasquez's career is not over.
  7. Doug Glanville talks up how great the Brewers are playing, and then proceeds to declare they aren't making the playoffs. Gosh being the underdog is pretty awesome. This team is making a lot of talking heads look bad with every win.
  8. Catching the end of Cubs/Reds on ESPN. This announcing team might as well be the Cubs' home crew. Horribly biased.
  9. And he's gotten better the more they've used him. He's transformed himself into a legit weapon out of the pen. Bravo to the Brewers front office and pro scouting staff for recognizing that a guy with good stuff but was struggling in a starting role could successfully convert himself into a shutdown reliever.
  10. Chaim Bloom is going to take over a team with a lot of talent when he's hired as this team's new GM this offseason.
  11. You continue to prove yourself as a troll with every post.

  14. It's too bad the Cubs fan that bestowed the legacy of Coach Cooper upon us, is not here to see it! He did make that cameo appearance a couple weeks ago. I'm sure he's lurking. Thanks Al!
  15. I always pictured him as more of a High Life kind of guy. Unless he's trying to be cool with the hipsters. Coach Cooper drank PBR when drinking PBR wasn't cool... PBR never wasn't cool.
  16. Pomeranz making himself some bucks for next year. I kinda hope they are Attanasio's bucks.
  17. Yep ... Suter makes the postseason pen for sure. But as much as I like Black's future upside, I think Albers is probably ahead of him in the pecking order. If you move Woodruff to the rotation, that gives you a group of starters that includes Woody, Gio, Lyles, Houser, Davies and Anderson. Four of those guys make the rotation, so that leaves two either deactivated or in the pen.
  18. I guess that's my point. He pretty single-handedly kept this pen afloat during a couple long stretches this year. If you bring a 13 man pitching staff into the playoffs, you have 4 starters and likely nine relievers. He's more than likely one of those nine.
  19. He is. Simply because they don't have 7 better relievers. The way they continue to use him gives absolutely no indication that they don't view him as a key part of the pen, for better or worse.
  20. Ugh! I fear Counsell got too cute with the pen tonight. Pitching Gio only three innings, and Suter for only one when there were rolling was an odd choice.
