  1. Nicely done, 'stache. That is pretty dang close to perfection.
  2. Good. Sick of hearing about the Mets and their boy wonder GM. Big whoop buying your way to a playoff spot. I can't believe a team with the rotation they have hasn't been better over the years.
  3. Brewers just assured at least a .500 record for 2019!
  4. BALLGAME!!! Just keep winning, just keep winning. The rest will take care of itself.
  5. Minkah to the Steelers for a 1st. Could be a decently high 1st, too, considering Big Ben is done for the year. Maybe even a top 10 pick. Wow.
  6. He's not done putting out the post-game buffet in the clubhouse yet.
  7. My first reaction was that Hiura would have rushed that throw. I think I owe you a Coke or something... Something tells me Hiura's rushed throws have been noticeable
  8. Spangenberg certainly passes the defensive eye test at 2B. He's solid out there.
  9. In play, run(s)!!! Haha. That's the best...and then you sit there waiting to see if it was a home run. Exactly what I was doing when Braun hit the GS yesterday. I was outside doing something, and Braun's AB indicated "In play, runs(s)" in blue writing. I ran on the house and flipped on the tv in time to see the dinger. Thank goodness for streaming-induced delay LOL
  10. Let's hang a few more runs on the board, and get the Williams brothers for the 8th and 9th innings. (yes, I realize Devin and Taylor are not brothers)
  11. Until tomorrow. Then Woody goes to the top. Here's hoping.
  12. I think it is pretty ironic that the two pitchers I enjoy watching most on this team right now are Good Freddy and Suter. Talk about opposite extremes.
  13. While I'm not going to lie and say I wouldn't mind having Dubon around as an alternative at SS right now, I love what Pomeranz has provided this year so far, and I am very intrigued by Black's upside longer term.
  14. Depends on what you mean by talent. I think that translates to velocity for me. I'm not entirely sure Woodruff doesn't miss a few spots a game as well. The difference is he has the stuff to get away with it. I know you don't throw hard to be a successful starting pitcher but it sure seems most top shelf starting pitchers throw hard, or at least did at some point. I'm probably not explaining my stance well here but there it is. No, I think you you explained it well. It is very difficult for a non gas thrower to become an ace-type pitcher. The ceiling just isn't typically there. A guy who throws in the upper 90s, but can also mix in solid secondary stuff just has that much more going for him, plus with his heat he can get away with not having terrific command every time out.
  15. I would love your plan to acquire two pitchers better than all-star Brandon Woodruff. Well, I didn't say it was likely, just that I'd like it. I'd just like them to put an emphasis on acquiring talented starting pitching. It seems like it really hasn't been a priority, and while the starting pitching hasn't been horrible, it would be nice to see more consistency there.
  16. I don't know if Spangenberg can play a passable SS, but I think they should be trying.
  17. Yes, I know, but how was what Adam said that ridiculous? I think it was a pretty tongue in cheek comment... Adam stood up for Shaw ... it was another poster that was the rumor monger.
  18. That was possibly the most ridiculous thing I've heard all season. How so? That was the rumor that someone started here that the Cardinals announcers were saying that Shaw was mad at the Brewers organization because they refused to release him so he could catch on with another organization. It is very possible (in my mind at least) that the poster who said that made it up to get attention, though.
  19. Davies with another solid showing tonight. I am about 98% sure he'll be back next year as a back-end rotation guy. This team is not in the position to give up young, relatively inexpensive solid starting pitching.
  20. That was possibly the most ridiculous thing I've heard all season.
  21. Travis Shaw needed that more than anything humanly imaginable.
