He ripped that ball. Unfortunately Turner was hugging the line. Otherwise that's a double. -
Wow ... Schoop just rips one, but right to Turner for a DP. Bad luck.
-
Yep, whole lotta ballgame left.
-
Sweet! Nice inning Freddy! Keep it up! His command is getting better. Starting to get that breaking ball over. So far, so good.
-
Well probably Brad Miller. Late career Rickie Weeks was pretty bad too.
-
C'mon Freddy ... I'd take effectively wild right now. At least give me that.
-
Oh man, the typical Ryan Braun cannon shot right at the fielder's glove.
-
Rich Hill looks like ... well ... the good version of Clayton Kershaw so far. His stuff just appears to be so hittable, though. Offense needs to wake up.
-
Yep, we'll be lucky if this one get over before tomorrow.
-
I would imagine they are going to stick with him for a couple more innings. Gotta get some length, or the pen is going to be blown out for tomorrow.
-
Wow, what a pitch!
-
Oh man ... Freddy's stuff looks great. He's gotta find the control, though.
-
Peralta started throwing in the 1st when Gio got in trouble. Should have been completely warm unless they sat him back down.
-
He was warming up in the 1st
-
I get what you're saying, but am choosing to have a little more hope.
-
He is the anti Machado for sure. I’ll fondly remember his gutty attitude when the series is tied at 2-2. One run. If they lose this game, it is 100% not on Gio.
-
I'm thinking your suspicion is Peralta. I think that is HIGHLY unlikely. But many of the pitching moves they've made have completely flummoxed me, and they have worked for the team much more than not, so who knows? Let's hope Freddy is up to the challenge. He's really hard to hit, command just has to be there. He's a weapon and given the circumstances - he's needed. I sure as heck hope you know what you're talking about. I know you have a lot more faith in him than I do.
-
Sticking with him. Ballsy.
-
Well Gio is hurt. Looks like you guys that want Peralta are gonna get him.
-
All you guys are so excited about Peralta coming in, and the thought of it scares the heck out of me. I sure as heck hope you are right.
-
Other than the fact that he has, you know, been really good since coming over, and it didn't really cost Stearns anything, you are right!
-
Peralta is up in the pen. GULP
-
Yeah, I always try to give the pitcher the benefit of the doubt, but I think I've seen enough of Gio. His stuff just doesn't play.
-
Machado tried to hit an eleventy-nine run homer there.
-
Is it just me, or has this staff, as good as they've been, issued a lot of lead-off walks lately?
