    JJ here. Need good JJ to shut them down. He owned these type of situations earlier this season.

    If there is one thing that has seemed to sort of plague this staff in September and through October so far, it's been leadoff walks. They have worked there way out of many of those situations, but it still adds an added layer of drama that shouldn't be needed.

    Can we start a "wade miley eat squirrel" thread? Miley seems like the type that may just hunt and eat squirrels. When he's not wrestling bears.

    There probably won't be enough room for him if Woodruff and Burnes are in the starting rotation next season. I don't think they'd have any trouble finding a spot for him. Can never have too much pitching depth. Affording him, though, might be an issue. Some team is going to throw a good contract at him this offseason.

    Way to step up, Miley! Keeping our pen fresh. He made that Dodgers lineup looks silly today. He's making himself a lot of money with his work in the postseason, and frankly, what he did all of this year.

    Game is through 4 1/2 innings (half over) and we are only an 1:10 in. Miley should get some sort of "pace of game" bonus from MLB.

    Suter not being allowed in the dugout is a very NFL-type rule enforcement. Rules for the sake of rules are never good.

    Well, Counsell said Hader won't go tomorrow during his postgame, so I'd take him at his word. He'll be ready for Monday though. I think Woodruff is probably the last man in the pen tomorrow, but he isn't off limits.

    Fox Sports Wisconsin is still doing postgame shows. Also, the postgame on MLB Network is pretty good.

    Yeah, great game, but you are right, way way too long. But I don't think bullpenning is going anywhere. Short of doing something extreme like changing games to be 8 innings, I don't know what can really be done. Bullpenning is here to stay. Maybe baseball should just embrace what it is instead of trying to change it. I can guarantee that if they get any length out of Miley tomorrow, the game won't be nearly as long. The time some of these pitchers take between pitches, and batters stepping out after every pitch to adjust every piece of their armor really lengthens things.

    I'm sure hoping they can get more length than that out of Miley. But with the extremely early hook of Gio tonight, who knows?

    I love that Woodruff was a big hero tonight. The guy has been nails since his September call-up. For a guy that was kind of being written off earlier this season, it's really cool to see. This team has so many great arms. It's awesome.
