  1. Think people are just holding grunge because after a hand/wrist injury he had a month slump. Outside of that, he has just tore through minor league pitching. He has a very similar swing as Trout but he is not Trout and think we all know that. Trout is a generational talent and no one is. However, just cause he is not Trout doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be very excited and think he is anything less than an elite minor league hitting project. His hit tool may be best of all prospects in baseball. It's not holding a grudge against him per se. Its more so looking at it realistically, and telling those that think he should have been up this year, or should be the starting 2B next April, to maybe hold their horses a bit. I love the guy's ability, too, but he is being put on a pedestal by some here that is just too high and rickety in my opinion. I would love to be wrong on this, but the guy just finished his first year of full season ball. Caution needs to be exercised.
  2. Perfect reason not to go there in the first place. Now you have to come clarify your dumb response to getting beat with more sour grapes and poor spelling. I'm willing to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. I'm sure the emotions were running pretty high last night. I don't think this is sour grapes. Brewers Twitter is 99% tools. Maybe even more than that. I get it.
  3. They're pitching around him and he's doing what he's supposed to do - take walks and let someone else be the hero. That's why OBP is more important than SLG, because it's doing what's right for the team instead of looking for individual glory. A .458 OBP with an .833 OPS is more valuable than some of the .325 OBP with a .900+ OPS crap people go gaga over (Javy Baez for example). If the guys behind him (Braun and Aguilar) were hitting, he'd be getting better pitches to hit. They are pitching around him, and it's obvious he's getting frustrated. If Braun gets back to the Braun of two weeks ago, I predict Yelich gets hot too. Yelich was otherworldly when Braun was hitting better, even though Braun was hitting in the 5 hole much of the time.
  4. Chryst and Mike McCarthy are two peas in a stubborn, uninventive pod. This Wisconsin team came into the season with such high hopes. Looking like another 7-8 win year and a crappy bowl again. Why they don't give any of these young QBs time is anyone's guess. It is quite obvious that Hornibrook is never going to be even a mid-level college QB. I can't stand his slow wind-up and release and pop gun arm I mean, the last four years they've won 13, 11, 10, and 11 games. The last time they won 7 games was 2008. I mean it's semantics, but you're making it sound like 7-8 wins is an every year occurence. Is the QB play great? No, it's awful. Should something be done about it? Yup. But they did JUST come off an undefeated regular season, barely lost in the BIG10 title game, and knocked off Miami in the Orange Bowl, after playing in the Cotton Bowl the year before. I'd love to see them step up and get in the playoff, but saying "another 7-8 win year with a crappy bowl again" is a gross misrepresentation of where this program has been recently. I guess I should have said that this team reminds me of the typical Badger teams from before the Cryst era that won just enough to go to a crappy bowl, despite some pretty high preseason expectations in some cases. I won't argue that they have been very good lately. This is looking like a Sun Bowl or Chick-fil-A Bowl type team, though.
  5. Same here. I had a bad feeling when Jeffress was sent in. I'd rather have seen Peralta. Yeah, throw in the 22-year-old that has literally NEVER been in that sort of situation, even in the regular season. I mean come on? There was no way Peralta was pitching there. I'm starting to wonder why he is even on the roster.
  6. Joey, I agree with you 90% of the time which is why I have to say I just don't understand these positions. Energize? They were playing in the NLCS against the defending NL champs on their home field in front of a pumped up home crowd. If that doesn't energize them, I don't know how going to L.A. is going to change that. It's not like they haven't been trying the last 2 games and now will. That said, I obviously hope I am 100% wrong about this and you are 100% right. They need to have a good offensive road trip, certainly. I guess that is more of a optimistic hope than an expectation. Just trying to find as many positives as possible after last night's gut punch. Stupid Turner!

  8. And that is all we need. Get one of them and bring the series back to Milwaukee. We've been pretty good on the road this year. It ain't over yet... No....unfortunately 1 in LA will NOT be enough...It HAS to be 2, so you get two chances at home to win 1 game...if you only win 1 in LA then you are forced to win both at home, that's a tall task. That's why losing this game was SO huge and why i said the series is over Might as well start counting down the days till Spring Training
  9. Exactly! The hottest team in baseball dropped a game for the first time in three weeks. In the NLCS. To tie the series at 1-1. This morning the Brewers were one of the best teams in baseball, and when we wake up tomorrow, they are going to be one of the best teams in baseball. The Dodgers are far from unbeatable at home. I expect the bats to wake up in a big way. I think playing where they grew up on this stage will energize Yelich and Braun, and they are going to carry this offense.
  10. I love Hader, but by numbers and where they've typically been used this year, Jeffress has been this team's most important reliever. If he is cooked, so is this team more than likely. So yes, I want him in that spot.
  11. What about Freddy? He's obviously the last guy in the pen. Hasn't really been a need to break him out yet. I personally wouldn't trust bringing him into a crucial spot late.
  12. Soria I guess. But he didn't look great yesterday either. Dodgers are just a good hitting team. Can't expect to keep them down for a whole series. The bats area going to have to come alive.
  13. I was agreeing that it was unnecessary and inaccurate. That inning was huge and very clutch from JJ.
  14. I don't know if that was by design but you have to throw a fastball for a strike there. You cannot take the chance of an RBI walk. Can't do it. No, he's just gotta throw that wicked curve for a strike.
