  1. They gotta get Quintana out of the game and get into that sweet, sweet crappy pen.
  2. Quintana has killed us but has like a 4.5 ERA facing everyone else and Cubs gave up what looks like a for sure star player. They haven't missed on much. I don't think they're kicking themselves too badly on Darvish either. They were rumored to be in on Sonny Gray last year too. That hasn't exactly worked out for the Yankees. It's the IGT. I'm overreacting. haha. Yea Cobb, Lynn haven't been too much to lose sleep over either. Arrieta has been fine but is he worth that money at that age? Meanwhile Chacin and Miley are better than all them for like 10 mil total Yep, just a bummer to see one of those guys get the upper hand on us. When it Quintana gonna start pitching like the average pitcher he is against everyone else?
  3. In what world is quintana a top of the rotation arm? He has had an era of 3.74 and 4ish with the cubs According to the package the Cubs gave up, he's TOR LOL
  4. They have? News to me.
  5. They have? News to me. I'm assuming a lot there. But yeah, Brewers linked to every top pitcher that has been moved the last two seasons. That is pretty much confirmed.
  6. I hate Quintana. I think a lot of that is because the Brewers were yet again the bridesmaid when it comes to acquiring a TOR pitcher. Seems like they have been in on every one, but haven't been able to close the deal. I tell ya, Hiura better be the real deal, because if he isn't, they've let a lot of top pitcher skip off to other teams because they are banking on him.
  7. Nope, lousy frame but both Foxtrax and Gameday have it right on the corner. Can't complain about a correct call. Looked inside according to the live game. That's what I went on.
  8. And Braun follows with a typical at-em ball right to the OF.
  9. Horrible call on that K. Caratini with a horrible frame job as well.
  10. In a perfect world, both the Dodgers and Cardinals go into a tailspin and miss the playoffs. That is very unlikely, though.
  11. Miley has been a godsend for the Brewers this year. I keep waiting for the wheels to come flying off, or for a blow-up start, which has been the norm throughout his career, and it hasn't happened. I was 100% wrong on him. I think a lot of it has been how the team has used him. It there has been any hint of a blow-up, he's been pulled. Last night was really the first time they left him in with signs of big trouble, and a perfect shift bailed him out. It is at the point where I'd love to see them offer him a smart contract for next year, but I fear he's pricing himself out of that.
  12. Cubs announced that Drew Smyly is being shut down for the season. I know there was some talk that he might be able to make a late season return and be a bullpen asset. As it is, he'll go into Spring Training in 2019 looking to crack the Cubs' rotation.
  13. Well Gio was coming off a terrific 2017 with the Nats, and Chacin was very effective in 2017 for the Padres. Not sure how Miley's 2017 indicate he'd be effective this year, though.
  14. I hope you're right. I'm ready for the Cardinals to just go away. Of course, it would be pretty poetic to see the Dodgers miss the playoffs after their big spending and big trades this year.
  15. Arizona is in worse shape in my opinion. If they go on to lose tonight, and they will, they are six back of the Brewers in the loss column. LA is only four back. Looking more likely every day that both wild card teams come out of the Central.
  16. Cardinals with a big comeback win against the Pirates tonight. Dodgers lost to the Reds, though, and Arizona is in the process of getting killed by Colorado. Dodgers are getting pretty close to being done methinks.
  17. To think, there was talk of non-tendering JJ last offseason. I'm glad Stearns took the other path on that one.
  18. Bullpen was terrific tonight. Hopefully a sign of things to come. Looked like the April pen out there.
  19. Crap baserunning from Domingo there. If you aren't going to use Broxton or Saladino as a pinch runner there, why have them?
