  1. He's a plenty real SS. It's the hitting that is often imaginary.
  2. Yes, obviously Yelich and Counsell don't care about this game. Yelich has been in every game during the second half. This isn't Lou Gehrig-era baseball anymore. Guys need breathers periodically.
  3. Not baseball gods. Its called Counsell. Bonehead move of the year to sit yelich. Just dumb. HE IS BANGED UP! Sheesh
  4. Seeing what Cole Hamels has done in Chicago gives me hope that Gio can be an asset. The Cubs have lucked themselves into enough TOR starters. It's the Brewers' turn.
  5. It's funny how the team starting to hit better coincided with putting Cain back in the leadoff spot on a regular basis. I have no idea why they messed around with Thames and Yelich in that spot for so long. Cain is nearly perfect in that role.
  6. Lorenzo Cain's line tonight is gorgeous. 1-1, 2B, SB, 4 BB.
  7. Good thing he wasn't DFA'd then, as was suggested by several.
  8. The first 5 innings of this game went so quickly. Not so with the last two.
  9. It's too bad Taylor Williams isn't back up yet. This would be the perfect spot to let him go in and just throw gas.
  10. Schoop gave that a ride. I think he's got a hot streak in him.
  11. Nice piece of hitting from Arcia. All the tools are there.
  12. Lets get a couple more, then give Albers, Lyles or Barnes the last two innings.
  13. That would be my guess if the Cubs close the gap. I don't think Jeffress pitches if the lead is maintained, though.
  14. This is a great spot for Knebel here. Get him right, and you have the makings of a light-out September pen.
  15. I say go with Knebel or Albers. Get them right. Any hint of trouble, have Burnes or Soria ready.
  16. Yeah, Braun from a few years ago crushes that 475 feet to dead center.
  17. Patient at-bats and making pitchers throw strikes. Who are these guys?
  18. Why did the Cubs put in their version of Taylor Williams?
  19. This game has been so anti-2018 Brewers tonight. Smart baserunning and manufacturing runs. Solid defense (except for Arcia's error). Taking advantage of the other team's mistakes. This looks like a playoff team!
