  1. His changeup looks ++ to me, its down in the zone, an excellent swing and miss pitch. With that being said the downside is his fastball location was HORRIBLE. Keep working BW!!!
  2. No way Villar passes thru waivers, he's too cheap for someone not to take a chance.
  3. If you don't trade Brinson or Hader what are really giving up?? Burnes is pitching great but how projectable is he? Hiura can't be traded so we're safe there. I expect the Brewers to fast track him to cover our ever gaping 2b hole.
  4. Then don't read it. Your post quite frankly provides ZERO value to this thread. Trade deadline week is pretty exciting for alot of fans, if you're not one go post on the off topic stuff. CRIPES!!!!
  5. I'm concerned our minor league system is vastly overrated with not very many attractive players to other teams. That makes things difficult to make deals.
  6. if The A's are coming off of Frazier and Torres in the Gray talks why won't they come off of Brinson? I would do Phillips Ray and Herrera for Gray
  7. You know that Mark A. ' not thinking twice' about that is part of the reason we got into this whole rebuilding mode in the first place, right? You do know that he hired Stearns for a reason, right? He is the boss, he could force Stearns' hand if he wanted to. Perhaps, just perhaps the reason he isn't doing that is that he is a smart businessman and billionaire aa you noted, and understands that leaving those decisions to DS is in the best interests of this franchise? I'm sure you are a passionate fan and I understand you want the team to win but you would be an absolute nightmare as a GM. Like, drive the franchise right back into the 90s type nightmare. Nope, I can guarantee you i'd have this franchise winning consistently as soon as next year and beyond. I wouldn't be pinning my hopes on competing in the next 3-4 years on Lewis Brinson, I know that much. It's going to take a lot more than him, and a lot more then this current crop of minor leaguers that everyone seems so high on. As long as Mark A said to me the same thing he said to Stearns "I will worry about paying the bills". Then I have free reign, and will have it turned around in a heartbeat. I'm just as competitive or more so than Mark A is. You have to be. I'm guessing most here aren't, which is why they will wait for the rebuild. I absulotely LOATHE losing, more than anything..I don't care what It is. Stearns or you LOL (enough said) Thanks man you gave me a nice chuckle today
  8. Nelson walks the lead off man, then 3 lefties in a row come up. what was CC thinking????
  9. If you're taking a god awful contract like Zimmerman you better get Fulmer. The Zimmerman contract could be the worst in baseball.
  10. No chance we trade both of those much less a third piece for Gray. PASS
  11. Cubs just driving up the price, they know the Brewers are looking for pitching.
  12. Didn't we just restock the minor league system with 25-30 guys from the draft?
  13. The decision to keep Scahill over Blazek already rears its ugly head.
  14. That's what you call the double whammy.
  15. Yelich replaces Broxton, broxton could go in the trade. You don't like .360 OBP? You have no idea what Texas would ask. He won't bring a Quintana haul because YD is a strict rental.
  16. Per Jon Heyman smart $ says Brewers could be team for Sonny Gray. crew pitching coach derek johnson was gray's coach at vanderbilt. the 2 r VERY close.
  17. Per Jon Heyman smart $ says brewers could be team for sonny gray. crew pitching coach derek johnson was gray's coach at vanderbilt. the 2 r VERY close.
  18. Stearns is smart, he's waiting to see who becomes available, what if the Mets make DeGrom available ( I would empty for him) or if Darvish becomes available. Gray may be the best option now but things can change in a week or 2. If TB tanks maybe Archer is available (also would empty for him). I think many of us want to go for this but this deadline seems pretty fluid. Give Stearns about 10-14 business days. Now relievers if he can get Ramos or Neshek you pull the trigger quickly as long as you're not trading upper echeleon prospects. I still maintain Yelich would look great in CF
  19. Thoughts? Looks like the Marlins are open for business (kind of). Sounds like they are keeping a core together. Ramos and Phelps appear to be available
  20. Hamels and Darvish could becoming available per Rotoworld. Hmm......
  21. Kind of blows your Sonny Gray stuff out of the water #way overpay
  22. Guys up the middle (C SS and CF) hold more value in trade talks. Plain and simple. He creates value.
