  1. Nice call. a couple of outings and he's up and Peralta's tenure is over.
  2. One word: BITCOIN
  3. Great posy Reilly, offensively we can plug and play at EVERY position except catcher. Pina is playing well while Bandy has slumped.
  4. What the Hell are you talking about - Brinson plus one of Hader/Ortiz gets you in the running for Chris Archer type, not a RP with an ERA over 5 Look what Miller got last yr - A top 20, a top 100 and two nice pieces Some amateur GM's are losing their mind on here, I'm going to chalk it up to we're in 1st place but Herrera FOR Brinson is laughable
  5. The Brewers would be foolish not to check out the market for Knebel in a month +. My guess is we won’t get a “blown away” offer that it would take to deal him, but relievers are so up and down. He is our best trade chip right now and the price tag should be extremely high given our position in the division – but the conversations should absolutely take place. Knebel should bring north of what Thornberg brought IMHO. On the flipside the schedule gets very favorable until the end of July and maybe Braun and Villar could maybe further boost the offense and we add a middle guy. Things might get a touch interesting.
  6. Thats great but how about a 6th or 7th inning arm to make sure Knebel's arm doesn't fall off. If Barnes and/or Knebel go down we're in big trouble. These guys have been pretty good.
  7. Neshek has been pretty dominant this year and other times in his career. Even though he's a free agent I don't think he can be had without a team's top 10 prospect. He's 36 and The Phillies are going nowhere, a top 20 prospect in our organization is pretty good.
  8. I believe there are deals to be made without trading top 10 prospects. I'm calling the Phillies about Neshek for sure.
  9. Just a question, how big of a transition is it from aluminum to wood bats these days??
  10. The cost of good bullpen arms compared to the value they provide is not something we should be doing. Flip through guys in the minors and see if you can get a contributor there instead of paying insane prices for relievers. Every middle reliever can't bring a king's ransom. I don't believe that. FA to be guys, older guys, teams looking to whack salary. We have a lot of good prospects. Let's hope we have a good night tonight as well! GO Brew
  11. Is it just me or does Brinson have a weird hitch or something his swing?
  12. 1 7th inning good bullpen arm. Thats all I'm asking for. That won't kill the rebuild. Management is almost being cruel trotting Peralta, Torres and Feliz out there.
  13. Is Woodruff on the 40 man?
  14. This just in, the Cubs lost AGAIN Please stop posting about last year. The Cubs in 2017 are not the 2016 Cubs. Stearns has an opportunity to go for this. we are going to see if he can pull it off. HE will win EOY and Counsell will win MOY if they make the playoffs, don't mortgage the future but use prospects to fill in our holes. All these minor leaguers cannot make the bigs with us.
  15. Great write up humans! Much appreciated.
  16. 17 of our 29 losses from our bullpen, just terrible. Not trying to second guess but does Counsell not believe in the suicide squeeze?
  17. I will take Yelich's .376 OBP from last year and his future contract and be thrilled with him batting in the 2 hole. Miami is motivated to trade him to shed dollars. Not sure you have to empty the farm for him, he's not lighting it up this year, so far. Easier said than done trying to get really good starters,
  18. I will be very surprised if anyone of our top 5 OF prospects reach Yelich's level, use 1 or 2 of them to get him here. They all can't play in the bigs.
  19. The biggest thing with Yelich IMHO is his contract, control for 4-5 years at under $10 million per is HUGE!!
  20. Yelich Thames Braun Shaw Santana Middle of the lineup would be pretty fun to watch.
  21. For starters .298 BA .376 OBP last year
  22. Marlins listening to offers. I would go get this guy using our prospects, Hes under control thru 2021 with an option for 2022 at VERY reasonable money. A very nice piece to help our return to prominence. Yelich is in year three of a seven-year, $49.57 million contract that also includes a $15 million club option for 2022.
