  1. I'm starting to rethink that maybe 2 relievers would be the way to go or 1 big time closer type. if we can shorten the game with Barnes, Knebel and unknown, that would be terrific.
  2. Keep an eye on Burnes. Not sure about his "stuff" but his stats are off the charts, so good so far.
  3. My point was you're not going to empty the minors unless you get a superstar. you are WAY WAY off on Sonny Gray IMHO ERA of 4 with a 1.21 WHIP so far this year and he was dreadful and I mean dreadful last year, are you trying to lose??
  4. Just because we fleeced Texas doesn't have anything to do with the value of our minor leaguers, thank goodness DS doesn't subscribe to your theory. Let me ask you 1 question, you propose we empty out the minors for Gray, what happens if he gets hurt or is ineffective (like this year)?
  5. NO way do you give up that for Quintana. I'm standing pat or looking for bullpen. Burnes is coming on fast.
  6. Is DeGrom even available?
  7. We have one of if not THEE lowest payroll in baseball. Owner would probably add 20-30 million this month if DS and him think it would make sense. Money shouldn't stop us from adding unless you're thinking about Verlander and others.
  8. His contract is OK
  9. Got hammered by Red Sox and AZ in back to back starts in May, otherwise he's been pretty solid. Non-believers just can't come to grips with this phenomenon
  10. I'm all in for Quintana, he helps for the rebuild with 4 years of control. a chance to get a 2 or 3 controlled for 4 years at cheap money, you absolutely go get him. (Brinson nearly untouchable), everyone else available.
  11. What are our chances with the rest of the possibles between 12 and 20? deadline is tomorrow correct?
  12. That trade isn't even remotely in the ballpark and its so far out of this world I have almost no words and absolutely positively HELL no are we trading those guys unless we're getting Kershaw or Trout, much less Sonny Gray.
  13. Absolutely hes been hurt but now he's back. I would be calling the Jays, take Estrada off their hands if they want to cut some salary.
  14. Do you guys think Stearns knows what it would take to get Quintana? This is a rare opportunity to get a team friendly contract starting pitcher under control for 3-4 years. This is a must explore.
  15. Because Detroit is that much more Hollywood? Duh, he would want to get traded to a bigger market and someone who will compete for the remaining 3-4 years of a contract, we are in a rebuild, see many many many previous posts.
  16. I bet he would veto a trade to us. Kate Upton doesn't do Milwaukee
  17. Not shocked. Peralta will be hurt as long as the rules allow LOL
  18. Let me know what you have. PM me or drop me an email at blikemike2@aol.com Thanks, Mike
  19. the Bowman Chrome autographed brand is great for speculation, limited production numbers autographs and you can make some big money if you guess right.
  20. so was Shaw's second ball a HR or no. Can a ball really hit the top of the wall and bounce backwards by 5-10 ft??
  21. Anybody care to chime in how good is Peralta?
  22. If you were buying rookie cards of the Brewer prospects for speculation who would you be buying. 1 hitter 1 pitcher?? I think Ray and Peralta Thoughts
  23. Need a Yount, will trade a Broxton for it or I can buy it outright. PM me.
