  1. I think there is a cloud on this “all in” mentality. No one from the brewers have said such a thing. They simply saw an opportunity with Cain and Yelich that there value/price was too good to pass up. According to there analysis. So just because we fans want more and more aggressive moves, doing so maybe rash and actually hurt our organization. Not saying moves won’t be made, but the term “all in” just makes me cringe.
  2. Interesting the watch Pedro break down Cotton. Mid 90’s fastball. Devastating changeup. If it’s for Broxton please pull the trigger.
  3. It’d be nice to have an arm like Colome. As much as I like Knebel, he may come down to earth a bit this year. Would be nice to have some options. Don’t wanna have it linger like the Feliz experiment.
  4. I have a hard time believing that Santana, Broxton and Phillips will all be on the roster come opening day. Even with all the options to the minors available. They all have value and all have areas of concern. But with any signing or trade, 29 teams can see flaws...only takes one team to see value. That’s why it’s been great that Stearns casts such a wide net. Only takes one call for something to stick.
  5. From what others have said on here and just watching games. In my eyes Phillips has a lot more potential value than Santana. 100% effort in all phases of the game. I’d try my hardest to get him as many at bats and innings as possible. We all saw his raw power and cannon for an arm. I think hed be a solid RF for us. Starting Braun at 1st has grown on me to allow this move.
  6. Maybe it’ll be a Neil walker signing??
  7. Orlando Arcia is probably as untouchable as Hader. That would make for a tough sell. That is Avery creative trade though!
  8. Justin Verlander.
  9. I like how Burnes has pitched zero MLB innings. And people on both sides of the fence use absolutes. He will never do this or never do that. Just interesting to see the confidence in each side.
  10. The Crew should move on from Darvish/Archor and pursue Arrieta/Fulmer. Atleast with Arrieta you know he will be in great shape and not be playing these games. We want to win!
  11. HighHeat any updates? Getting close to spring training.
  12. Once the first domino falls, it’ll probably go quick. Glad the crew made a splash when it was quiet.
  13. Could really use some news soon!
  14. Can’t ignore at .85 whip! Wow. Doesn’t seem to walk many. Looks like a solid signing.
  15. My point in all this, is he isn’t fair and away better than these guys we already have. Woodruff could very well not be very good. But his potential paying him the league min is far better than over paying for a guy who is average at best. Agree to disagree I guess. Just not drinking the kool aid on Corbin making a positive difference on this team.
  16. He also had a 1.4 whip. 2016 5.15 era. Yup, would gladly take any guys on our current roster than this guy who will make 7.5mil. He’s only pitched more than 160 innings 2 out of 5 years, not like he’s a true innings eater. Not to mention letting up 24/26 home runs up the past two years, going to Miller park would more than likely make that go even higher. Just don’t understand he draw for him.
  17. We can get the same production from the woodruff, gallardos of the world for a whole lot less. Again, doesn’t move the needle. It’s a no from me.
  18. I e-mailed my group rep. and she thought single game tickets would begin being sold at Miller Park/online on Sat., Feb. 17. That seems a week early to me, but that is what she e-mailed back. I also asked about the Arctic Tailgate event that had been going on that first day of sales until last year. She said that the Brewers are in discussion on that topic. My guess is that it comes back, partly because of the hype generated from the acquisitions yesterday (and this weekend, probably). Thank you!!
  19. Side note. Does anyone know when single games brewers tickets become available? Haven’t seen it in other threads or online.
  20. Maybe they would trade Thames and move Yelich to 1st?
  21. Stearns non commital on Yelich position....he came up as a 1st baseman.
  22. That’s a fair point on Dustin. Was more so getting at that he wasn’t a highly regarded minor league talent and was over looked. Compare most of Arcias and Doubons stats, they aren’t that fair apart.
  23. People said the same thing about Dustin Pedroia and look how that turned out. Doubon is more consistent defensively than Arcia, tho doesn’t make the highlight real plays. Doubon is legit and young.
  24. Thanks HH!! This is fun stuff! I’d be all for dumping broxton on them
