  1. We aren’t necessarily overpaying if 1) we get the guy(s) we want. Each team values players differently. 2) we don’t know what was offered, maybe we low balled them knowing we had to at some point go up. It’s all relative to whoever Stearns views to have value now and in the future. Harsh reality is, we may view it differently. Could be good or bad.
  2. I wouldn’t mind Urena being a friend
  3. Brinson and Yelich have basically the same amount of team control. Yelich contract very team friendly. Brinson is still a “prospect” where Yelich you know what you have. I take the trade.
  4. Let’s get Yelich! Let’s get Salazar! Let’s get Mejia! Let’s get em all!
  5. Thanks High Heat! I’m even more jacked up now! I’ve hit refresh on this page more than I can ever remember doing. Could potentially be a franchise altering set of moves.
  6. I just don’t see us trading Shaw unless we get a Yelich type in some way shape or form. He’s such a threat from the left side that would be hard to replace, especially at league minimum.
  7. Care to elaborate? And no, Scooter does not count as a miscalculation. Reds got lucky and caught lightning in a bottle.
  8. This is like full blown Brewer torture here!!! Let’s go get em David!
  9. Maybe Michael Fulmer from Detroit is the one “people aren’t mentioning. TOR pitcher. Dangle Santana + for him. Get Cain. Call it an off season!
  10. Can we throw in Broxton for some seeds and big league chew. He can strikeout 250 times in Miami. Plus, we need to stock back up after how many things were wasted during the Crews home run fun in the dugouts
  11. Thank you all! That helps!
  12. Does anyone on here work/have worked for the Brewers? Wondering what the best way to apply for something on the inside would be. Not just game day jobs.
  13. I’d definitely listen to sell high on Shaw. In reality, he’s only had one good half. Stearns activity in “doing due dillagence” may be a cause in slow market.

  15. Reports have it that Yu Darvish could be had at “reasonable” price of 5 yr 80-90 mil. He will be 31. Short term memory only reminds me of his World Series performance.
  16. How is Cain a defense first player? He still bats around .300 each year with 20+ stolen bases. Looks like a well rounded player to me.
  17. This. We need guys that actually put the ball in play. Only has had 1 season of more than 100 strikeouts. Plus, solid other numbers. Brewers trip round two for Cain!
  18. Thank you David for staying away from these ridiculous contracts. This is just absurd.
  19. To myself each day...stay calm and trust David. Stay calm and trust David....
  20. Appears to be a 1 year $10million deal. Good move for the Yankees. Wish the Brewers coulda snagged him for this salary.
  21. I would ride with our prospects in Williams, houser, etc. there is a huge gap between squeaking into the playoffs for a winner take all game, to competeting for a World Series. Trust the process and Stearns to not overspend foolishly to wreck this whole rebuild. Our time is coming.
  22. That should all be in blue!
