  1. Craig Kimbrel wouldn’t look bad in the 8th for us….
  2. Urias is slightly above average with a .329 wOBA and 106 wRC+. Opening day to Adames trade he was .309 wOBA and 93 wRC+. (712 OPS) Adames trade to present he has a .352 wOBA and 122 wRC+. (817 OPS) Currently ranked as the 11th best 3rd baseman in these categories of all of MLB. We may have just found something with him. Fangraphs show a -4.1 UZR defensive rank unfortunately. Hopefully that will improve at 3rd or SS.
  3. Has had OPS+ years of 153, 95, 140 and 67 so far this year. Definitely has some history of hitting, although inconsistent.
  4. Bucks in 6! Bringing first championship in 49 years!! Let’s go!!
  5. Since Stearns and company arrived in 2016, Brewers 1B are 12th in both wRC+ (115) and WAR (9.2). They've gotten pretty good value out of a position they apparently don't value at all. Yes! Value comes in a variety of ways!
  6. Questionable take. They seem to put good effort and hit shots.
  7. I guess to each their own but I see Turang being more valuable than Small or Ashby at this point and probably close to the same as Mitchell. With Adames firmly entrenched at shortstop and the lack of pop in Turangs bat I am more than ok moving him in a deal. Turang is likely more of a 2nd baseman than SS. Profiled a bit better there.
  8. The Brewers (while not the only ones) have gotten pretty deep into the deferment game. 1.8 million to Braun until 2031 1 million to Cain from 2023 to 2027 2.3 million to Yelich from 2031 to 2042 5 million to Wong between 2023 and 2024 18 million to JBJ (assuming he exercises his player option) between 2023 and 2025 Pretty sure the Nationals kick the biggest can the farthest down the road... Scherzer: 15 million each July 1 from 2022-28 (105 million) Strasburg: 26.66 million each July 1 from 2027-29 + 4 million interest (90 million) Corbin: 10 million total from November 2024 to January 2026 Hand: 6.5 million total from January 2022-24 Andrew Brandt from the NFL/Agent world…spoke about Bobby Bonilla Day. Said that every team would prefer to defer money but it less advantageous for the player/agent. I would’ve thought it be better to just be done with the contract ASAP..
  9. Appears we will miss DeGrom too. Wins keep coming! Really? Isn’t he pitching tomorrow? That would put him on schedule to go Tuesday or Weds against us unless my app is wrong. You are indeed correct. I miss read it. Let’s give DeGrom his first blow up game!! Can’t stop us now!
  10. Appears we will miss DeGrom too. Wins keep coming!
  11. We get to see Willy and Urias for 3 more years together. Should be a fun stretch. If Hiura turns it around that’s a solid core with Yelich in there.
  12. I know it is a foul, but I wish they would do away with the 3 point “attempt” fouls. The shooter isn’t even trying for the basket at that point and creating contact. Just don’t like it. Seems cheap and dirty.
  13. Love what Portis brings to the team!
  14. Hiura is 4 for 13 since his call up. Raising his average 19 points. With 2 homers, a double and laser of a walk off sac fly. I’m drinking the Kool Aid. He will be a force in the 2nd half! Biggest addition we could’ve made was getting him right.
  15. Manfred should push for 15 seconds between pitches if he’s series about pace of play. Lauer isn’t even coming close to acceptable pace. Snooze fest
  16. Would rather Forbes chucking up shots than Middleton tonight.
  17. The home grown ACE has really come into his own. Model of consistency this year. Like a poster said in the in game, it’s nice to see CC allow him to go deeper into games. Currently averaging 6 1/3 inning per start. Only opening day (4in) has he worked less than a full 5 innings. All that with allowing 1.89 era, 0.76 whip. Almost half of his Runs Allowed (20) have come from homers (9). Cut those down and he’d be that much better. Doesn’t allow many hits…roughly 4 per game. His career high in innings for a year is 121 back in 2019. Will be interesting to see how/if that plays a roll. Like some have said, he ain’t a pup and is a grown man. His batting is a career worst….but I think we can live with that.
  18. Will be interesting to see his modified swing. Will the slide step vs large leg kick change results?
  19. Harden is what’s wrong with basketball. Refs allow it to happen. But it’s ridiculous how theatric he is in his acting.
