  1. Appears Texas has opened it up. Atleast for 3 games. Opening day plus 2 exhibition games vs the Crew.
  2. The NFL and NFL Players Association agreed Wednesday to a salary cap of $182.5 million per team for 2021, a long-anticipated 8% decrease from last season, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. This will likely get the ball moving on some cuts and trades. Now that teams know the cap.
  3. With 2200 possible at bats from the OF, the log jam will work itself out. From the bit I’ve seen from García has been impressive. Wouldn’t sleep on him being a middle of the order bat if Hiura can’t figure it out. Great pitching, great defense will be the stamp on this team. Which I’ve been hoping for years. Slingin Stearns has put another nice team together.
  4. Will be fun to see Yelich go all Aaron Rodgers on the league and win MVP again!
  5. Who do you recommend? Wouldn’t matter. If we are “closer to 30th than 15th” in their eyes, one bat won’t make a difference.
  6. Sounds like deferrals are in the deal. Much like Wong who has $5 mil of his 2021 salary deferred. Random question. Does having deferred money really benefit a team? Seems like every year we are always paying someone’s deferred money. Why not just pay fully then not have to deal with it. Feel like we were paying Loshe, Rameriz, etc for years. Not sure I get it as each year it’s just a different name.
  7. Like signing Lorenzo Cain to a 5-year, $80 million contract as a free agent? $80 mil isn’t significant money.
  8. True...but that offense...sheesh Not to hard to see this offense will be better in 2021.

  10. I’m seeing possible line ups of 6 plus defenders. That does even include Yelich who won a GG. Add that to high strikeout pitchers. Should be a fun run prevention squad.

  12. Brewers were 1 of 11 teams at Yoenis Cespedes' showcase today. Apparently he was impressive per Jon Heyman.
  13. Very good take. 2nd round really is the value of the draft. Samuel would be a big get IMO. Play maker there. If they end up getting 2 seconds from Jones/Tonyen, they would have a shot at moving up if they saw value there. But I’d almost rather get 3 second round quality players.
  14. He’s an out getter. One I think will take a big leap this year.
  15. Padres really going big! Wow. If they land Hader, they will give Dodgers a run for their money!
  16. Sounds like Albert Pujols is calling it quits after this year. Via his wife’s Instagram. 100 War payer. He is in last year of contract at $30 mil.
  17. Yelich is a pretty complete hitter. Didn’t realize there is basically no drop off vs righties or lefties. I knew it wouldn’t be drastic but he’s very consistent. If JBJ comes in, that’s a deep deep outfield.
  18. Not endorsing anything he said/did. But raising a question, how frequently do you think foreign players blur the lines for needing an interpreter? Would they fake it to a degree to get a friend a solid salary? If he saw that first hand his statement on that one topic would make sense. By no means do I think that’s the norm. Actually first time I’m hearing anything of the sort. But people in general, not just sports, do shady things to find cracks in the armor. Being in the business world myself, nothing really surprises me of what people will do. And sometimes calling the “crime” out is viewed worse than the act itself. Obviously, context and delivery are important to.
  19. Thoughts on Kawann Short who was just cut by Carolina? Few down years but may still have something left?
  20. For some reason, Urias reminds me of Javier Baez. Similar swings. Better walk rate and K rate.
  21. Does the power need to come? He could still have great value even if no power comes. Wong is a great defender with a career 333 obp and 717 ops. He lacks power but has great value. Arcia has a career 295 obp and 660 ops. Urias can have value if he can have a low strikeout percentage, get on base and play great defense. Andrelton Simmons Just got $10.5 mil from the twins to have a 91 career ops+ But have great defense. Obviously prospects vs established players. But the reasoning is the same, don’t need “big bats” at every position to have value.
  22. One of the biggest ones for me, is the use of in game video. This should benefit Hiura and Yelich who have said they relied on that a lot. Just can’t watch video with anyone in room.
  23. Ryan. Braun. Forever.
  24. Burnes should be a hard pass. Elite pitching potential with many years of control. It’s a non conversation in my opinion for one year of story.
