  3. Can't wait to get out to the Molitor Lot and fire up the grill one last time. Can't go tomorrow (if it happens), and likely won't be able to afford any resale WS tickets (if it happens). Going to give it all I've got tonight, and I expect the Brewers will be doing the same. LET'S GO
  4. Some clown in around section 208 or 209 tried to get the wave going late in Game 2 and got ignored hard by everyone around him and it made me so happy. There's an amazing ballgame going on in front of you, I've never understood the guys who absolutely need to be the center of attention and try to get the stupid wave going.
  5. I am so glad this happened to you, and I hope you cry about it forever. Scalpers suck.
  6. How was the timing? It's frustrating if one is several seconds ahead of the other. I went to Turner Hall Ballroom last night to watch the game on a big screen, and WTMJ was there to sync up Ueck/Levering's call to the FS1 Broadcast. It was pretty awesome, crowd got loud enough in there that it felt like a mini-Miller Park at times.
  7. No Uecker seats unfortunately.
  8. All of the teams in the AL East went into the season trying to compete. In the AL Central the Tigers, White Sox and Royals are all in rebuilds and fit this narrative. None of the teams in the AL West went into the season trying to tank. 3 teams in the AL didn't make an effort to win. It just happens that way more than 3 teams were just awful. In the NL the Marlins are really the only team that was tanking this year. The Reds pitching was even worse than expected and the Padres spent a lot of money in the off season. I mean if you really believe the Baltimore Orioles, Toronto Blue Jays, and Tampa Bay Rays tried to compete going into this season I really don't know what to tell you regarding the rest of this post.
  9. I mean, look at the American League outside of HOU/NYY/BOS/OAK/SEA/CLE and tell me any of those teams made a serious effort to win. Also I strongly disagree that the Brewers plan was not to win this year. They were 1 game away from the Postseason last year. Stearns wasn't just going to sit and wait.
  10. Any idea how much SRO might be for this series? I really can't afford much at the moment but I'm really hoping to go to Game 2 Saturday. The only one I could make probably, unless there's a Game 7.
  11. Good read, I always enjoy David Roth's stuff for Deadspin
  12. That's awesome, gotta assume there will be a fair amount of Brewers fans there with all of the transplants to CO. Bring home a series W!
  13. Nyjer Morgan was lots of fun with the Brewers, and that Game 5 walk-off will always be Brewers legend. Can only shake my head at those talking smack about the guy in this thread.
  14. I've been a nervous wreck pretty much. Went to game 1 and the missed offensive opportunities and then the blown lead in the 9th brought back the 2014 NFCCG sense of dread right back to me. Game 2 I watched a stream at home and was pretty much the same way, anytime they left a RISP with less than 2 outs on the bases I was starting to lose it. But, for the last few innings I just decided to tune into Uecker and that was actually kind of calming. Enjoyed it from then onward. I know it won't be fully possible for me to calm my nerves and not live and die on every pitch, especially if they continue to advance in the postseason, but I do try to think about how rare this is for us as Brewers fans and how much I should try to appreciate the moment.
  15. r/mlbstreams on reddit helps to use Google Chrome with adblock on but you should be able to find a solid stream on there
  16. Story's numbers against the Crew this year scare the bejeezus out of me. Do not let that guy beat you.
  17. I was able to ask off for Thursday last week when I bought the NLDS home game 1 tix, so whatever time we're given will be fine with me, but I'd prefer the evening so everyone has a better chance of making it.
  18. Got a little misty eyed listening to Ueck's call overlayed on this video. Great job by the Brewers media people on this one Agreed with the OP, let's get it for Ueck!
  19. Just read through most of this thread re-living the game again, what an amazing, intense day of baseball! Now a couple well-deserved days of rest before taking the next step. Onward and upward, Milwaukee Brewers!!!
  20. I'm blocked by Tom too and I can't remember why. He's a real smarmy twitter personality, that much I know. Garbage writer also.
