  1. The way Soup pitched yesterday, i thought the score would be 8-0 by the 3rd. Hopefully sheets will settle down like he did.
  2. I know this is nitpicking but the mouse click sound they have after every out is getting to me.... Fox has way too many stupid little sound effects for their baseball and football games.
  3. Think the sun is a small factor right now with the late start time?
  4. Just spotted Pat Listash in the cubs dugout.
  5. OK, so I want all of you to take in Mark Grace and I dare you to ever say a bad thing about Bill Schroeder again. Grace is terrible.
  6. I wish i didn't live in Seattle.
  7. I think they called up to many people. A team has a certain chemistry and that can and will change when you throw a bunch of new people in the mix. If it was any other losing year, I'd have no problem but really.. Is Nelson and Escobar really going to make a contribution during the playoff run? I think they have a better chance of screwing up than helping us. And it gives Ned stupid ideas.. like pinch running a guy in a key moment of the game who has 20 minutes of MLB experience.
  8. Come on..... I went to school in Florida...I lived in, man. I have my right to my overused opinion.
  9. I'll say this every chance I get. GET MLB OUT OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA. They have proven time and time again that they don't deserve a team. The marlins could not even sell out playoff games the last time the owners decided to buy a world series.
  10. It was craig cousell who broke some ribs when he swung at a ball and missed in 2005.
  11. Here it is!! Hate to part with it but money is tight. This is a game worn, original Madison Muskies Jersey. The real thing! Feel free to post any questions. Thanks! Ebay Link http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260271196593
  12. seriously? So all of Ned's moves to get us to this point have also been terrible? I don't get it. There is really no way for Ned to win any of you over, is there?
  13. Hey, no one said jumping on the Brewer's bandwagon would all be roses.
  14. I think anyone who complains about Bill Schroeder should be forced to watch a ARZ game with Mark Grace to get proper prospective. Bill is pretty decent. Mark Grace is like a half-drunk urban redneck.
  15. The Brewers are 35-17 since Russell Branyan joined the team.... Just sayin.
  16. nothing wrong with that at all.. but McGwire would still beat Prince in that catagory.
  17. Mark Mcgwire falls in the same catagory as Prince. Take away Mcgwire's cup of coffee in 1986, and he comes in with 81 home runs his first two seasons.
  18. Technicaly, Prince only had 2 home runs his first season.
  19. Wow, i've seen those hot zones for years now and still have no idea what it means either.
  20. Geoff Jenkins: I really wanted Jenkins to do decent with the Phils and now I see that he is batting .237 with the lowest OPS of his career. Richie Sexson: He was one of the only bright spots for some horrible Brewer's teams He was released this week after being monumentally bad the last two years. Scotty Po: while he had some big hits this week against the crew, his carrer is pretty much finished. Brady Clark: Who would have thought, a little over 100 more ABs post Brewer. Corey Koskie: Nuff Said. Hope he is better. On the other side of the coin, it felt great to destroy De La Rosa yesterday and it was also sweet to hit the deciding run off Bennet earlier this year against the Braves. And finnaly: That famous Rule 5 draft pick, Enrique Cruz had 71 ABs for the Brewers in 2003, hitting .077. Four years later he would have his (likely) last MLB AB in 2007 against the Brewers, going 0-1 with a lazy fly ball out to Corey Hart. He also make an error. If you want to look how far we have come since 2003, just look to the fact that Enrique Cruz was on our active roster for the entire year and actually started 7 games.
  21. Remember at the beginning of the season how we laughed at the fact that Dusty was dumb enough to place Patterson as their leadoff man? Over half of the season is now over and in 194 ABs, Patterson has a .222 OBP!!! and HAS NOT WALK IN HIS LAST 114 AT BATS!!!!! and that crazy speed that baker loved? 10 SBs with 5 CS. I knew he was a horrible player but now it's like a bad car wreck on the side of the road.. you just can't turn away. If Corey Patterson was being intentionally walked, he would pop out to the 1st basemen in foul territory. If he plays at all this weekend, I'm going to be crazy excited it he reaches ball three.
  22. 7 players does seem a bit much. It would be exciting to see Gamel do a little pinch hitting. Turnbow with his 9.19 ERA in 15.2 IP in AAA is close to being demoted to Single A. NIX is having a pretty good year in AAA and has the most MLB experience. I can see him being called up on 9/1.
  23. I read sometime this week that the Crew has 7 players with 10 or more HRs this year. The next closest team has 5 players. By the end of the year, Weeks will have at least 10 and there and if Kapler keeps hitting like he is, he will have hit at least 10 as well, bringing the total to 9 players with 10+ home runs. Anyone know the record books for most players with X amount of home runs at the end of the year? I know it's an outside chance but they also have a chance of having 5 players with 30 or more to end the season. Side Note: Proof that home runs do not always win ball games. That last great Brewers team of 1992 had just two players to end the year with 10 or more HRs. Vaughn with 23 and Molitor with 12. Aww man, Franklyn Stubbs next with 9. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  24. This is so good to see. I remember going to so many games in the early to mid 90's when 18,000 fans a game was the average. 1,605,543 so far this year! Hell, in 2003 we had 1,700,354 all year!
