  1. Oh yes, of course I must be the actual jerk, not the guy that spent a week plus making a joke that few, if anyone, could possibly have guessed was a joke. Yeah, I thought you were harassing, bullying, being a jerk to that poster. Didn't I say that in my original post? I did. Those are synonyms. I think I've tried to be fair, I acknowledged there was a misunderstanding (meaning I misunderstood your intent) in my first response to you. You seemed more interested in how I phrased a sentence about a history of use. Which I guess you took as an insult but I was really just trying to make a point that the thumbs down isn't generally used as a joke so how was anyone supposed to know that? Clearly I don't completely accept your explanation of "it was a joke". I seem to need to spell that out because you claim to be baffled why I keep responding to you. I haven't really seen an attempt to answer how people should know what your intent was. I just get a mocking, sarcastic reply complete with using using blue font because that's how I tried to make a correlation between people having difficulty identifying sarcasm in text form and using a thumbs down as a joke being similar to that. And now you are questioning why I might see being mocked as bully behavior or being a jerk as well. I started this by giving an example of someone (anonymously by the way, you chose to jump in and identify yourself) I felt was using the thumbs down in an excessive manner. I stated an opinion why I felt that the feature should be removed. That's it. Do you think I'm saying it's all because of you? I'm not, it's just one instance. I've seen lots of people use it in ways I don't think are productive in the last year since it was added. So far I'm the only one putting a voice to that opinion, it's going to take others to agree or nothing will change and rightfully so. I'm just one person.
  2. Acts like a jerk, gets called out, makes excuses and blames others, attacks anyone that speaks against them. Bully behavior. Sorry if the truth hurts big guy.
  3. Good grief, man. That's what you took from that? I read the forums. I don't read every sub-forum or every topic or every post ever but just going off memory I see how people, including you, have used the thumbs down. I don't have specific memories of what you've thumbed down but I've felt like, in those moments, I've had a good idea why you were using it. Make sense? I've never seen someone thumbs down a specific poster for over a week as a joke. This silly deflection that it should be obvious you were joking makes no sense. We have a blue font for sarcasm, you think people can suddenly catch the vibe of a thumbs down other than "I don't like that"? I'm just not a fan of the thumbs down regardless of who is using it. I've used it myself a few times, probably on some JefferyLeonard type posts but I really couldn't tell you on what. I could do without it which is why I've posted in this forum.
  4. You have a history with the thumbs down that clashes with using it as a joke so I don't know how someone is supposed to make that leap. That's not criticism, the feature exists and you have every right to use it. I felt your use in this case was excessive. Really this type of misunderstanding just accents the simple negative feelings created when using a thumbs down on a message board. I don't think it's productive and would like to see it removed. People on this board really don't have problems voicing when they disagree with others and I think that method is much more healthy for discussion.
  5. It feels easy to assume that once Mizuhara went into debt any winning bets he placed were never actually paid out, they were just applied to debt. The bookie knew he was connected to Ohtani, knew he had access to his accounts and I'm sure had zero issue with wherever the money was coming from as long as payments towards debts were coming in. It would not be surprising to me at all if the bookie came out ahead on all their transactions despite reported "losses" in the millions.
  6. Now that I've looked it up I'm catching what you're putting down.
  7. Daniel Vogelbach? Rowdy Tellez?
  8. I think the thumbs down feature has proven to be more than worthless. I did a search of "thumbs down" and conversations have centered around people using it and griping about people using it. Plus I am currently tracking a situation that I've reported on twice about now where a user is blatantly harassing someone for what I can only assume is their posting style (sigh) by thumbs downing them for 7 days in a row now. Let's get rid of it. Please.
  9. They're also forgetting the #34 overall draft pick and the near $2.7M in pool money that comes with it. Basically still a PTBNL to be determined plus the many ways they can choose to use the extra pool money.
  10. The thought of trading Giannis hurts but we're entering the period in his career where his body is already starting to break down, so much wear and tear with his style of play. Getting value now might not be the worst idea. However, I'm not sure I trade him unless he wants out. He's an icon, he made the Bucks relevant and brought Milwaukee a championship. Maybe the front office decides to call his bluff and make moves he may not love and see if he asks for a trade. I just can't fathom running it back unless they really get good pieces from Middleton and Dame trades.
  11. Sure, I can think of better circumstances but it also definitely could have been much worse. There could have been men on base, or it happens in the playoffs, etc. Early April in a game where they never held a lead isn't that awful. The point is making sure it doesn't ever happen again.
  12. Frelick made a terrible error in judgement but if anything the result of that play is all he needs to have the lesson hammered home. I don't think one mistake reflects on his ability to be a plus defender in center field or any outfield position.
  13. That was not a professional decision by Frelick.
  14. I had a common cold once around 10 years ago and experienced a fit of coughing where I got light headed and passed out. No concussion, maybe because I was seated instead of standing, but I got a small carpet burn on my forehead from falling face first to the floor.
  15. Lamet really isn't worth tracking. Brewers waived him and he got claimed, Brewers never had to pay him a cent. He's been ordinary at best since then and honestly has mostly looked worse than ordinary. Even had the Brewers kept him that season I think chances are pretty high he wouldn't have been back, certainly not in 2024. If he beats the odds and goes on to be an All Star I just don't think that there's any scenario where it would have happened for him in Milwaukee.
  16. Diggs was pretty meh the 2nd half of last season. It's not like you can blame the QB situation either. Maybe the supporting cast of Davis and Shakir weren't dangerous enough to draw much attention and Diggs saw more coverage but that really hasn't been an issue for him in the past. He might be slowing down. Not saying he can't still be productive but I understand why the Bills would let him go.
  17. They use plate identification technology, which I assume are image captures of license plates. I think I remember reading that if you receive a violation ticket and it's due to a typo for a reported plate number (which I would think would similarly cover your issue) there's a contact number that you can call and ask them to check their records for the correct plate number and they'd fix it. You wouldn't be liable for any fines if everything checks out. Of course that's as long as all their fancy tech isn't malfunctioning. Just enter your plate number as usual and you should be ok. ETA: I also don't think license plates use the letter O, I think it's always zeros for exactly this type of possible misreading. 2nd edit: Just checked WI DMV Licence Plate Search and they confirm. Tips for using the license plate search application: Do not use the letter "O" when entering in a plate number; use the number "0." Do not use spaces or hyphens when entering the license plate number.
  18. The Brewers scored 3 runs. It's not logical to expect the pitching staff to continuously hold teams to 1 or 2 runs and get victories that way. They need to score more. Going 3-1 in games where they've scored 4 runs or fewer is still pretty fantastic. I hope it's a trend that continues.
  19. Guess I picked the wrong time to take a bathroom break. Go deep young man! ¡Ay, caramba!
  20. A litany of baserunners will do that.
  21. Not really. The QR codes are on light posts in the parking lots. I'd think there would be a lot of them and they're posted higher up on the posts. Just point your smartphone camera at it, zoom in if necessary, and click the website link that appears on your screen. You don't really even need to be that close to it. Per brewers.com Fans who fail to pay for parking or activate their advance parking session will be subject to a parking violation at the day of game rate with an additional fee. Fees will vary depending on amount of occurrences and when payment is completed. I'd assume that would apply to parking in a lot you didn't pay the correct price for.
  22. My guess is the QR code is a way of submitting your parking location.
  23. Yes, he popped out of the dugout yesterday during the pitch behind Hoskins drama.
  24. I'm always impressed with Sophia. She's a gem. A true pro. You know the Hispanic/Latino guys must absolutely adore her that they can have relaxed interviews with her.
