  1. Rodgers isn't even an asset at this point. His down field throws have been garbage other than the one caught by Watson.
  2. I think there are still levels of disgusting when comparing two different disgusting behaviors. Choking someone into unconsciousness and raping them is unspeakably awful. TBH it makes Ray Rice look like a boy scout.
  3. I don't think Bauer plays in MLB ever again. Can't touch that. He's going to get paid something like $22+ million when the Dodgers release him. I just don't think any team will touch the guy,, and I'm 100% ok with that.
  4. Contreras will have months to adjust his frame of mind plus all of spring training to assimilate into his new team's culture. Schoop was traded at the trade deadline, from his original club and all that familiarity, and pretty much thrown right into the fire with expectations that he would produce and help boost a playoff run. Also I'd say Contreras' feelings aren't really so much an indictment of the Brewers as it is leaving a Braves club that's right up there with the Dodgers and Mets as top tier WS contenders. Even if we put on the rosiest of rose colored glasses the Brewers are just not on that level right now. Not many teams are.
  5. I think the coolest thing about Jace Peterson is he went from being demonized by fans a couple years ago (which was somewhat understandable because of his lack luster hitting stats) and fought his way back with his play on the field and his stat line to a point where fans respected him a pretty great deal for a guy of his caliber. Can't help but be happy for Jace that he cashed that in. Good for him and I hope he continues his run of being a valuable member of the A's (or wherever the A's end up trading him to down the line).
  6. I agree but all that tells me is they're not that concerned about going through the rigamarole of service time manipulation with him. If Frelick is seen as a guy they want to play the game with they likely will. For the record, I lean towards not playing around with service time manipulation, just bring up the guys that are ready when you think they're ready. If their value explodes to the point you "regret" not waiting he becomes a trade chip.
  7. Yes, this. I'm seeing far too many assumptions across many topics that Frelick and co. are going to be day 1 members of the opening day roster. It's been pretty rare that the Brewers have brought guys up ahead of time and I feel like the times they have were times they simply couldn't afford not to. I think Hader's call up was right on the fringe and the club ended up being a day or two early on him. I believe Hiura was called up early as an injury replacement, then was sent back down after a few weeks with the team and I think we all remember how unpopular of a decision that was. Anyway I really do think they'll play the waiting game again with Frelick and perhaps others. Doesn't mean there won't be a circumstance where they eventually get called up for a trial run though.
  8. The Brewers have been playing year to year since Stearns was hired. Sounds like you're just now catching on. Hey, anyone remember Avisail Garcia? How bad were we missing him last year? Miami gave him a 4 yr $53M contract and he produced 98 games of a .224/.266/.317 slash. Yet without going back to check I feel like there were fans on this board that felt like the Brewers should have kept Avi instead of trading for Renfroe to replace him. (I understand those moves were only indirectly related.) Maybe the guys in the front office know what they're doing.
  9. Aaron Rodgers had a terrible game. So many bad throws, throwing behind the receivers (and no not on purpose), under-throwing receivers, ridiculous interceptions. In the first half I hated that they were going for it on 4th downs when they could just take 3 points, like what part of this offense is giving anyone the confidence to convert anything? What an absolutely putrid showing today.
  10. Making the NFL's worst defense look competent, your Green Bay Packers.
  11. It's still a one score game so unfortunately they can keep up the litany of epic fails.
  12. I can not comprehend what I'm watching.
  13. I managed to win my matchup but I was really sweating out the other guy having Diggs and the Bills DST on his team. Fortunately the 2nd half of the Packers/Bills game went my way. I survived Mahomes' bye week and get to enjoy having him the rest of the way (knock on wood).
  14. Front office played chicken with the attempt to resign Davante and boy oh boy did they lose big. First, all they had to do was give the dude what he was asking for 1 year early and it would have been a bargain compared to today's prices. Second, by waiting until he hit FA they had ticked him off enough he wanted out and refused to consider coming back. Good job guys.
  15. Knock on wood but the offense is actually starting to look competent.
  16. I was kind of only half serious but I also just don't see the point in continuing to subject Rogers to the punishment he's taking. This wasn't a game they were likely at all to win anyway.
  17. When does it become too early to wave the white flag and bring in Love to get some game reps? Midway through the 3rd quarter?
  18. I don't really want to get in the way of some defense bashing but this is the Bills they're playing against. Not exactly unexpected.
  19. We're not getting shut out tonight pals!
  20. Might be worse than the Bears...
  21. I picked up Dalton because of his matchup against the Raiders. Who knows how solid his grasp on the starting QB job is though.
  22. At no point was I honestly suggesting there was. I also don't think if there were any strains in their professional relationship that either of those men would choose to have it out publicly. Not everyone takes passive aggressive shots through the media like Green Bay's star quarterback does. Thing is though, all us outsiders (fans) like to think we know everything. We don't. The best we have to go on is what we get from reporters which everyone should know is company approved. There are always the unnamed sources but a lot of that is a known part of the media game too.
