  1. I doubt it. I expect he'll need some time to develop. Packers likely will look for a veteran in trade or FA to be #1. He should contribute in kick/punt returns though, or be in the mix.
  2. *Unless they come from the same university. (blue)
  3. Not complaining, clearly Packers wanted Watson, but approaching 53 and Pickens is still out there.
  4. Or we used our extra pick to make sure we got our guy. I hope the bad hands rap is overblown a bit though.
  5. I heard both seconds.
  6. That didn't take long. Let's go!
  7. Right now clicking the forum as read just refreshes the current sub forum you are in with all topics read. Logically if your marking it read you're done reading that sub forum and are ready to navigate to a different sub forum, but first you have to click back to the main forum landing page. I'd be great if marking a sub forum read just took you directly there. https://brewerfanatic.com/forums/ Hope that makes sense.
  8. Would like to bump this suggestion. Totally understand there are bigger priorities and would amend the suggestion to take you back to the forum main page instead of the site home page (which didn't exist in its current form at the time).
  9. Hate the HR but kind of in Joc's corner regarding the fans being idiots behind him.
  10. It's not even a bad commercial at face value, it just gets way, way, way overplayed. I could have added about 5 more "ways". Anything that gets that repetitive is going to grate on just about anyone's nerves. It got to a point a few days ago where I couldn't get that dang song that plays in the background out of my head I was hearing it so often. I nominate it for the Pizza Ranch, Gruber Lawffices hall of shame.
  11. All I can do is shake my head. Sometimes I wonder why I even come here. He had 14 ABs going into today's game.
  12. I like Olave but I'd rather the Packers stand pat if they're going to take a WR. I'm with RRB I feel like the Packers would take Burks over Olave. I'm also fine just waiting, Pickens is good, there are just so many decent WRs that I'd rather not spend a draft pick to move up. One exception but it's a scenario I don't think will happen. If the Packers are in a position to get both Burks and Olave I think it would be worth trading their 28th plus whatever other pick it would take to move up to 21 or 23 so they can make back to back picks. But I just don't think Gute is going to take 2 WR in the first round. Like others have said it wouldn't shock me if they waited until day 2 to pick a WR.
  13. Good thing we don't have Paul Goldschmidt (.458 OPS, $26M per year). Those poor St. Louis fans, I almost feel bad for them.
  14. You are absolutely entitled to your opinion, but his stats against LHP are right there in my post and MLB managers for 3 different teams during those seasons liked him leading off prior to him joining Milwaukee. I don't really care either way how Counsell chooses to use him but it feels like there's a logical basis for his current preference. That's the only point I'm trying to make.
  15. The Jets said they never offered the 10th overall pick so that rumor was debunked. The Jets said that Seattle wasn't even taking offers on DK so they never got as far as making an offer.
  16. This made me think of Jeff Cirillo who was probably a little underappreciated in his time. He also wasn't quite at Mauer's level at either player's prime level. He was still popular with Brewers fans don't get me wrong, but the lack of high HR numbers likely prevented him from being as popular around the league as he should have been.
  17. And this is the face you make when it passes through your system.
  18. Yeah, I've said it before but I think the Packers are really happy with their draft picks and also probably don't want to add a huge WR contract, so it's kind of a double whammy to trade a 1st away AND add that big contract at the same time. Maybe if Rodgers were 5 years younger it would be a different story.
  19. Maybe an avatar update too? (I'm just kidding)
  20. I'm starting to feel really hopeful about Yelich. Don't let me down dude.
  21. He's 28 now but he'll be 29 in June. Solid signing, hopefully still has speed ability. One more warm body than we had yesterday and potential to produce at an MVS level (in overall numbers, if not yds per reception).
  22. Cutch vs. LHP 2018: .363 OBP & .819 OPS 2019: .429 OBP & .840 OPS 2020: .394 OBP & .944 OPS 2021: .405 OBP & 1.027 OPS 1st in batting order at bats per season 2018: 174 of a possible 569 2019: 219 of a possible 219 2020: 213 of a possible 217 2021: 161 of a possible 482 3 of the last 4 years he's had more at bats from the lead off spot than any other position in the batting order. That's total, not just against LHP.
